This is his fifth team already, maybe the guy is just a dick.

Sharks depth on 3rd and 4th lines is pretty crappy so this makes sense. I guess Atlanta wants some more youth in the lineup

Atlanta wins this by a landslide. What a useless player.

SJ will likely be 5 mins away from winning the cup, and he'll take a 5 min major, losing the game for them.

If Eager can play like he did in Chicago, he might be alright for SJ.

Wasn't he the third guy in the slightly ******* shirtless limo photos series from Kane and Versteeg?

Doug Wilson trying to rack up whatever Chicago alums he can.

I like the deal. Mayers - Nichol - Eager will be a pain to play against.

That would mean San Jose made it to the Stanley cup final! Would also mean they got 3 wins in the series.
I don't see this happening.

Sharks get a roster player and give up a 5th round pick. Everyone is happy.

I don't see how getting a 5th has us winning by a landslide. It's just nice to get any sort of return.

With that in mind, why would he make a trade at this point? Because the AHL team does not have a full roster and is signing guys to PTO's daily just to ice a team.

Eager allows us to send Desjardin back down. That's all.
Missed that, although I haven't been following things that closely lately. Link?

Nine days ago, Wilson addressed the team before a practice session. Afterward, alternate captain Ryane Clowe said that the general manager basically gave his players 10 games to get their act together or face the consequences. The Sharks promptly lost their next four games.

Potential steal for the Sharks if Benny can get his act together.

If you can keep him motivated and disciplined he's good for 20+ points and a ton of huge bodychecks... solid production for a 4th liner playing under 12 min a game.

Unfortunately so far nobody has been able to keep him disciplined and motivated, good luck.

Fair trade for both teams

Eager can either be very effective, or very useless.

There's no maybe about it, he's a grade-A ******* in addition to being one of (if not the) most dangerous and undisciplined goons in the league.

i dunno fellahs, but some household names have gone for 3rd rounders so far this year.

Price of players via trade is getting cheaper.

We have other cup winning BLACKHAWKS on our team son! Next up - Trade for Seabrook!

I like it. Only gave up a 5th and I think a little more Clowe/Eager type attitude will help this team.

Besides the current injury/depth issues, this may also have been triggered by Nichols 4-game suspension.

Anytime you can rid your team of a problem AND get a draft pick in return, its a GOOD day.

Hell, Rangers picked Henrik Lundqvist in the 7th round. So you can find a gem for Ben Frikkin Eager!

These trades were in the works before the suspension hit, Sharks AHL team is short of players due to call ups, that's why these moves were made I believe.
