Chicago-Boston

Chicago
C David Krejci
D Johnny Boychuk

Boston
D Brent Seabrook

Chara and Seabs would be lethal at both ends; Boston also gains some cap space. As for the Hawks, they get a play making 2nd line center and temporary replacement for Seabrook on the back end.

No.

How about Savard & Stuart for Seabrook? Savard behind Toews would be lethal. Savard to Kane or Hossa would be a great tandem..

Stellar. He has almost as many points as Krejci who was injured a portion of the season.

Still a no from Boston.

No interested in Savard whatsoever, not even for free. I would be fine with Stuart instead of Boychuk, but if not Krejci, then Bergeron. You guys would probably rather move Krejci, hence the extension to Bergeron.

Bad deal for Hawks

Boychuk really wouldn't fit in our D

Stuart + Krejci for Seabrook would make more sense

But B's wont be moving Krejci and Hawks wont be moving Seabrook (Unless talks fall apart and we would move him in offseason)

I don't see why either team would want to do this.

A team that has Nick freaking Boynton playing #5 minutes (16:06 a game for 37 games) absolutely would take Boychuk.

You sir...you should stop posting on the trade forums.

Why would Chicago have any interest in a guy who is a -4 and only has 8 points in 22 games? And yeah people have watched him, he isn't that impressive.

Savard is damaged goods and his contract may very well end up killing Boston's chances to win a Cup until it runs out.

I mean, Boychuk is better than Stuart and is a right-handed shot, which Chicago has fewer of. But whatever.

That's a little extreme. If he were on a 2 year, $8 million deal, nobody would complain about it. So how does it kill our chances of winning the Cup in the next 2 years? And is it not possible that he, like Bergeron, will regain his old form after suffering a concussion? I'm not sure if you're a Chicago fan or not (it doesn't really matter though), but if you are you should know better than anyone that it's possible to win a Cup with a productive but overpaid player on the roster.

Geeez. He's a $4 million cap hit. Every team in the league has a player of lesser or equal value making more or the same.

Boynton hasn't played in nearly 3 weeks ,,,, He is back in role he belong #7

If Hawks are subtracting Seabrook (Our most physical dman and usually our best stay at home dman) and replacing him with Boychuk that is a major drop

Stuart at least can play a similiar game in many ways as Seabrook

But he is not on a 2 yr deal ,,,,,,, He has 6 more years which means his concussion history + his age are major concerns

4 mil cap hit for 6 more years

Add in the concussions and his age and yes that is a bad contract

Savard when he has played this year has looked like a shell of his former self

But how are the last 5 years of the deal relevant this year or next year? The guy I responded to said that his contract means we cannot win a Cup while he's on our team.

I am just pointing out some fact

Is Savard a positive for Bruins this year?

I would say that is a legit question given his struggles this season

Can Bruins win a cup with Savard on roster? Yep ,,,, I have them as one of the favs for East

I'm still under the impression Ryder or Wheeler need to be dealt to keep Savard on roster; maybe I'm wrong on that. I'm not sure about Savard ever regaining his form though; he looks like a completely different player. On the other hand, Burns is a good example that players can get back to where they were after a year or two. Don't expect much change this year though; it's really too bad but he looks more like Kopecky than Savard right now.

He's not playing great right now, but he has until the playoffs to get better. They don't hand out trophies in January.
