not a bad first period, but I think the caps outplayed us a bit. Too many blind passes to the blue line getting picked off.

I hate 7pm games. The 2nd period ALWAYS starts the second I'm leaving work.

lol, that Russian stream I'm watching (with english commentary) is showing NHL On The Fly segments instead of intermission analysis for the game at hand.

Good first period, hopefully they can put in a couple more goals and also play a full 60 minutes!

Laviolette had a team-bonding session today at a local hotel. The purpose was to keep the positive road vibes active.

Well, I haven't chimed in yet. I thought they played just O.K. in that first period. Apart from the last few minutes they spent too much time in their own zone. But the good news is that the defense stepped up. Kimmo is beastly. Coburn, apart from getting away with a high-stick penalty on Ovi, played pretty well.

It also looked like the Caps were making an effort to get Bob to play the puck with their dump-ins. It almost paid off.

Getting away with a penalty is playing pretty well.

Don't tell Coburn that. He might get ideas.

Solid enough first period. Timonen and Coburn has already been mentioned. Zherdev seems to be playing with some intensity this game. Carter's line has had a couple of good shifts. Bobrovsky looks good, except when he's about to play the puck...

Your money isn't doomed yet, Flyers usually don't turn it on until the 2nd

You got complaints...
For the record, it's 1:50 AM here.

Also, why don't you just go to work as soon as the 1st intermission starts?

I'm at work when it starts, and can't leave til 8, when the 2nd period usually starts. I should be able to catch the last 3-5 minutes of the 2nd. Hopefully we'll be up by about 12 goals.

Ha, yeah, I'd get here real early rather than miss a game. I'd stay late, but I have no food. It's a conundrum.
