I'll take the point.

To those complaining about Gomez, he logged big minutes and allowed us to stay in the game as long as we did. It was a stupid penalty but he had just been slashed and the way the period was going it appeared nothing was going to be called. Refs pick and choose their penalties, big surprise.

Charity win for the sabres. All things considered, sabres need that extra point if that's how bad they are.

****ing refs and ****ing Gomez. Can't keep his temper on a 5"5 guy, with 1 min left in the game.

LOL @ the refs and a LOL at Gomez. Nice way to keep your cool Stanley Cup winning veteran.

Another game on the road and another difficult night for the impotent offense...big surprise.

Oh well..3 out of 4 points...I will take that everytime.

That high stick call on Gomez was a stretch. But hey, haters gonna hate.

Saw the last half of the third...I really didn't see terrible refereeing. Gomez took an extremely selfish penalty. The apparent missed calls on the Habs can't excuse what he did and what impact his selfishness had on the game.

But, I didn't see the first 5/6 of the game, so...I suppose I can't vouch for how good or bad the refereeing was then.

That sucked. Lost half our ****ing team, refs were all over the place, Gomez decided his feud with Gerbe was bigger than getting the win...hopefully P.K. snubbed him back after that

I guess all told we should be happy with 1 point in the second half of a back-to-back but this one still smarts.

The reffing in this league is just brutal.

Absolutely brutal.

How do you let Myers off with completely brutalizing Eller with crosscheck after crosscheck from behind, and Gaustad off with checking Wiz right into the boards from behind, and then make that chintzy call on Gomez? How, refs, how?!

There's simply no possible way neither of the two refs saw what Myers and Gaustad did there, either.

If the refs want to put the whistle away late in the 3rd period, then so be it, but you have to do it for both teams.

Otherwise, it's just a ridiculous double-standard.

if the refs are gonna 'let them play' for the last five minutes or so, what's the point of changing your mind with less than a minute left? chintzy call, gritty game. all in all, i'm proud of the boys.

maybe if Martin wasn't half asleep on the bench and getting after the officials we might get some calls.

Buffalo plays an undisciplined game but we get more penalities...if one of our guys hits Vanek from behind into the boards I doubt they'd get only 2.

The two non calls on Myers the Jiraffe(at 6'7" 165lbs) for mugging Eller was just too much...if I was coach I'd be throwing water bottles at the refs...how can the NHl emply TWO damn refs per game yet they can't see blatant calls like that?

The refs did let some **** go for Buffalo, but that penalty by Gomez was simply inexcusable and cost us the game.

Even in the ****ing dead puck era with the clutch and grab Myers would have got a penalty and he didn't and now Gomez got a high sticking even if he didn't touch that dirty little piece of garbage Gerbe

Those shove-fests honestly happen along the boards all the time. It looks bad because it's a 6'8" man shoving a much smaller man.

The stick holding I couldn't really tell. The Habs fans on that side of the ice really seemed pissed, though. To the level that I presume it was probably a penalty.

As you know....I rarely complain about reffing. But this was pathetic. I'm so sick and tired of reffs deciding games. I see it against the Habs and I see it against other teams. The officiating in this league is absolutely trash. WE HAVE 2 FRIGGING REFS and they still **** up consistently. You don't call anything in a chippy game then call a penalty with under a minute left? When will the refs be held accountable? At least the NFL comes out and apologizes for ****** calls an ****** officiating. ****

Such an important game and these hacks had their hands all over it.
