I mean...I'm not going to argue this vehemently...it's clearly a difference in interpretation. But I didn't see the head driving into the boards at all. Like I said, it's a battle of a huge guy vs. a not so huge guy. The big guy is obviously going to be more aggressive. I really didn't think it was a call, and I'm seriously trying to be objective, as I am not a Habs fan.

So crossing check Gomez in the back is the cooler head? Whatever you say buddy.

Stupid Gomez.... Ho well...

Welcome aboard Dustin Boyd.

The question we all ask ourselves : Will Alex Picard dress as the 12th forward if Halpern is to be out for an extended period of time ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

How can Buffalo be happy with this win. They needed a 4 on 3 in OT to beat a team that was playing with 9 forwards most of the game, that played an emotional game the night before and looked beatable after the 2nd?

Buffalo is bad, but that was sad.

The refs just put their whistles away in the 2nd and 3rd concerning anything Sabre related.. Four straight PP's and one 5 on 3 in the last 2 periods and nothing for the Habs.. The Sabres got away with alot of crap in the 3rd.. The Habs penalties were deserved for the most part but how can they not call some of that Sabre crap in the 3rd..

Just take the point and be happy considering what went down tonight.. Anyway WTH was up with the Sabres celebrating like they won the cup tonight.. They just barely beat an injury depleted Habs team in OT for christ sakes..

How can the league let this **** happen all the time? It's getting ridiculous.

How can people blame Gomez for that? He didn't even ****ing touch Gerbe's head with his stick! He's a midget rat who dives like his buddy, Derek Roy. What a joke. Ugghh. Another painful loss because of a couple of idiots who can't do their jobs properly.

So obvious he faked. He acted like he receive a stick in the nose or something like that.. Gomez's stick never touch Gerbe, just a shove near the face...

Alright...I really didn't see it that way. Perhaps it was excessive, but I'm really not surprised it wasn't called.

So the fact that Gomez is much bigger than Gerbey should have negated the other penality then?

So Habs played well and Gomez sucks?

I wouldn't know; the power went out and I was twiddling my thumbs in the dark.

This said, it was really no time to roughen it up. Let's say that Moen, Wiz and ... Darche (whoever) jump a Sabre.

And, whooooop!

12 skaters left in the lineup.

Retaliation is what Gomez 2 minutes? So what about when Gerbe the "cooler head" basically retaliated and threw Gomez to the ground and started throwing punches in an earlier scrum. Or when Weber got a penalty for slashing and Gerbe and even Gaustad basically pushed him into the glass. Where was the extra 2 in any of the instances? Forget about the Myers-Eller shift..too many scenario's that make the refs look stupid.

Only consistency from the refs is the inconsistency.

I never said the refs didn't play a part in the loss. I didn't like the reffing, especially on the Myers crap.

However, your "leader" needs to know that you don't lose your cool with 1 minute left in a 1-1 game when you're in a dogfight for a playoff spot.

We lost the game on his penalty, therefore, it's partly his fault, if not mostly. Not to mention, who the hell knows about Gill now, he could be hurt too because of the PK.

Gomez is a bucket of awesome alright.

If we can find a video you will see it should have been a penalty three clear crosscheck and even Eller head hitting the board, ridiculous

Title should say "Buffalo, still a city of losers."

Buffalo Bills suck too.

Agreed.

So JM's post-game interview tongiht

Bon...

Good Job Sabres on beating Half a NHL Team
With Refs help.
On a 4 on 3.
In Overtime
With your full team

We're all a bit too emotional now. Including myselves, i agree we deserved a better outcome. But the team gave it 110% and got a point. I don't think Habs have ANYTHING to say negativly (asides discipline) tonight. A+ boys.
