Yup All-star break comes at a perfect time.

Whatevs. Habs will go on a tear and restore hope to the city.

And if not, the fact that the team is missing 2 top 6 forwards and 2 top 4 d-men should cut down the *****ing here by at least 50%.

We need more size in this lineup, our plyers are getting pushed around so easily.
(and no im not talking about pucks flying into us)

Thread title should be changed slightly:

http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=350130

Quote:
RDS is reporting that Pacioretty will miss two-to-four weeks.
The articles on both RDS and TSN say they could miss at least a month...No confirmation that both will miss at least a month. They could both just as easily only miss 2 weeks.

In the next month we play 12 games.

7 are at home and 7 are against non playoff opponents.

Ideally this is the stretch that could have helped put us in a good position heading down to the final stretch. With the injuries these are still winnable games.

Now RDS is saying the 2 to 4 weeks for Patches is correct, but Cammy is out for at least 4 weeks... OUCH...

TSN said Cammalleri 2 weeks, which makes more sense given that it looked pretty minor.

I don't know...i'm pretty 'happy' with some of the early reports of the length of injuries for Cammy and Max P...it could be much, much worse.

It's going to be a test of depth but it will also give guys like Eller, Pouliot and Kostitsyn an opportunity to almost start their season over again.

What's a Habs season without injuries right? I think the only season since the 93' Cup that the Habs have been relatively healthy, was the season they won the division (07 I think???).

Yup. The last time we went (relatively) injury-free was 07-08 I believe. And low and behold guess who finished on top of the Eastern Conference that year.

At least we've escaped the usual over the top injuries so far (Trent Mcleary, Lang, Markov, Audette, Koivu...you get my drift).

I believe the most annoying part is that they will be back around the deadline. It leaves us in some type of bind. Should we try to sell players, like Hammer and Spacek?..Or go after re-inforcements?

I wouldn't want Gauthier to give up any more draft picks for rentals.

If MaxPac was smaller, maybe he wouldn't be injured
