Whom ever gets the call up is moot, AK-46, Pouliot, etc are really going to have to buckle up.

Seems we only have LTIR CAP SPACE $1,770,836 + maybe a month of Cammy, that's a lot less than I thought we had, guess Wiz ate up most of it. I'd still rather save what's left for the deadline.

It'll be interesting to see Pacioretty's willingless to stand in the crease going forward...I assume that kind of injury could leave you a bit shy about standing in front of the net again, especially if The Wiz is winding up

Cammy's not on Long term injury, so it doesn't matter.

They won't put Cammy on LITR for a 2 week injury. I don't even think they can.

You're blind?

Gionta ran over Miller. Gill almost took Vanek's head off in front of the net.

Don't assume. You're not standing in Pacioretty's shoes.

As for trading to replace them. it would be a bad idea. Those weren't season-ending injuries. Pacioretty and Cammalleri will return, probably before the trade deadline, and the Habs will be stuck with too many players on the roster and too much over the cap. Gauthier should instead bring up reinforcements from Hamilton.

LOL.. I read somewhere once that red cars are pulled over the most by Police. Must work the same way with NHL Refs/Habs, maybe we should switch to Buffalo dark blue & get away with crap.

Best case is that the Habs get through the remainder of January and February with at least .500 hockey until we get some bodies back into our lineup. If anything, their attention to "defense first" should keep them in most games even without key personnel. Everyone seems to have bought into the system.

Goalscoring was a problem anyways, so they'll have to continue to gut out 2-1 and 3-2 wins. I expect Plekanec, Kostitsyn, Gionta, Gomez, and Pouliot (in Pouliot's case keep doing what he's been doing) to step it up.

#habs Max Pacioretty n'a pas de fracture aux côtes, mais une sévère contusion. Il va tenter de patiner demain et tenter un retour vs Sens.
(from Renaud Lavoie)

No fractured rib for Pacioretty, only a heavy bruise. Will try to skate tomorrow and might face the Sens. Wow.

Indeed, wow. Pacioretty will try to play Friday. He has no fracture but the pain is still intense.

so freaking glad MP's injury is not as serious as previously thought. How many times have we gotten a good break like this after the days after speculation? So I guess then yeah, Enqvist is essentially replacing Halpern day to day (although isn't the former more offensive?, I realize there's a reshuffling). Pouliot will have to take over from Cammy but tbh, it might not be that bad. Last I checked, for goals/TOI, Pouls is probably better than Cammy.

Absolutely. A team must show the other team that they can retaliate if some players in the team are hurt by cheapshot. Weber's hit last night was cheap. I wish we have someone who may go out looking to return the favor on some good Sabres players. If a team knew there will be consequences, they are not likeky to cheapshot someone from our team. I do think we shoud try to get Neil from Ottawa.

I love this kid. You can see that he's starting to come into his own lately. He's also tough as nails. I've said it for a while, Pacioretty if he develops properly can be a very important player for the Canadiens and he's progressing well.
