for the record if we traded him it would be to the historical trend... in last year of contract to an elite team for their top prospect and 1st rounder. that is the historical trend. we wouldnt offer him to a crap mid team as that just burns bridges... contenders only (yes boston would be an option but not LA or atl who are going no where)
LOL this is your second post. Your already in before the non existent lock
i see alot of problems here... personally dont like hemsky much, but getting him for the injured savard and saving the 3 mill in real dollars probably does get a huge check for our B's. I dont see any reason Savard chooses to waive his NTC to go to Minnesota.
I tend to like Cam Barker and i probably overrate him tremendously,,, but i have seen alot of young dmen develop after a few years in the league. Edmonton wouldnt move a ppg forward for an overpaid 4-5 dman though.
Minnesota actually seems to have a very good number 1 center in the form of Mikko Koivu whom they just gave a truck load of money too. there is only 1 puck to go around,... only x amount of powerplay time. If Savard was fully healthy, then you make room for a guy like this even at 7 mill. Since he isnt healthy, then you probably dont make a deal for a guy that doesnt really address your team's real needs.
i think this is a proposal that ends up with none of the three teams being able to agree to it
Minnesota Gets:
Boston's 1st rounder
Andrew Cogliano
come on now, you have Toronto's 1st rounder.
better but id much rather have a younger krejci and a 1st rounder then hemsky and a 2nd rounder. especially since hemsky and krejci provide the exact same game

The 1st and second are not that big of a difference(position-wise) in a weak draft and Hemsky is more of a pure scorer, where it would benefit the Bruins in my opinion.
I think the young Oilers forwards are more offensive minded as where the Bruins are offensive but seem to play too defensive minded, just my theory on which both players benefit both clubs.
That's the scenario where you let Horton play center(he's played center before, dont worry) then have Hemsky feeding Horton passes I thought Bergeron would have chemistry with Horton? I'm guessing Claude Julien has tried that. I know Bergeron and Savard are top center's but then you put one of them on as a winger on the 2nd line or move Savard on the wing? I don't know, nothing wrong with "added depth" up front.
So we trade a 2nd we don't have and Marco Scandella for another 2nd/3rd line tweener and a late first? Gross. These proposals are nothing short of disgusting from a MIN perspective.
I'm not sure why the Bruins would have any interest in a guy like Hemsky...we already have David Krejci who has pretty much equal production and skill set....this proposal makes little sense as its a lateral move at best....not to mention Savard is finally starting to show signs of life and some chemistry with his linemates.

so is Scandella right now---PCS and a gruesome ear injury
