That is where I would want him on our depth chart. I guess we'll agree to disagree on the physical aspect. I just see way more out of him in that department. Sarich has been fairly apathetic this season imo, and his penalties have been horrible. Usually I wouldn't use that as a point when speaking about Carkner, but this season he has had way more restraint.

Also have you ever watched Carkner fight?! The guy made Orr look like a fool twice this year and has some pretty nice skills with the fists.

I doubt that Fleischmann and Butter would have mixed very well anyway......

totally agree. Carkner has 111 penalty minutes compared to Sarich's 34 and he plays less icetime, we dont need more liabilities, we have enough, for that alone I would stick with Sarich. Carkner is no upgrade, sorry

You didn't describe anything there that can't be used to describe Sarich. Unless you're talking strictly contracts, I don't see how Carkner is an upgrade on Sarich.

Yeah, but we have younger dmen for just as cheap to fill that bottom pairing d-role, such as Mikkelson and Pardy. That's not even mentioning which of our young dmen prospects could make the jump next season.

Yeah he's a good fighter, no argument there.

And Orr has also got the better of him.

I'm all for trading Staios for a long shot project or 5th round pick but I don't think the sharks can afford his 2.7M cap hit.
