What a coincidence... that's Scott Nichol's number, who just got suspended 4 games.

Eager though...I remember seeing him try to pick a fight with Phaneuf and then cold clock Armstrong and think to myself..... For real, dawg? It's gonna be like that?

i think he can add something. id rather have one of our guys get a legitimate penalty (roughing, elbowing, goaltender interference), instead of delay of game (puck over glass) - Huskins or high sticking - Heatley. Eager can be that guy that takes a hard roughing penalty instead of a ticky-tack high stick into a visor.
i like the move, and i think he should get a clean slate with us like we've done with everyone else that's been brought in here. i'll believe what i see when he starts playing on our team. all the stuff from the past is in the past.
I've actually wanted Eager for a while, I think he is better fit for the West, at least he plays with heart, maybe he can share some of that with the other guys in the locker room ...with the addition of the role players I think it's clear one or two of Mcginn, Mitchell and Seto are gonezo....Hopefully it's not Seto unless a good non rental is coming back. I would much rather send out Mcginn and Mitchell for a solid rental though
Actually Eagers not a bad guy. He lived where I do in Chicago and occasionally frequented the same bars. He payed for drinks a lot and always took people out to breakfest in the morning if he ended up crashing somewhere. Never experienced the breakfest aspect but have heard from multiple people

No, he dogged it in Atlanta for a couple of weeks before he got benched. Finally gets back in the lineup and Torontos Atlanta then gets traded.
Playing lazy and then trying to compensate it by playing wreckless isn't playing with heart. He *did* play with heart the first couple of weeks of the season though, was looking great, hopefully he can find some kind of compromise.
