That was the fastest empty-netter I've ever seen.

Sharks tied with Vancouver, 1-1.

We're currently 10 points up on 9th, btw.

Also, 7 point lead in the Pacific, pending Phoenix-LA's game (scoreless, 2nd period).

STARS WIN!

A franchise record 8th consecutive victory on the road is now set. Stars win again, their 5th in a row overall. Dallas improves to 7-0-1 in January, still the only team in the league without a single regulation loss in 2011. And the more impressive thing, to me at least, is that they've gone 8 straight games now without allowing more than two goals.

Eriksson's 10-game point streak comes to an end, but don't worry Ribeiro now has a 10-game point streak himself.

Stars knock off the Oilers for the fourth consecutive time, 4-2!

I think your on to something, the three nerf weapons of the Game, the warrior sword for the "toughest warrior", a bow and arrow for the "Most accurate" and the shield for "best defensive" play of the game. I put those in quotes because I'm not sure if they should be for the actual most accurate and best defensive play or if they should also be kind of tongue in cheek too, like the most accurate goes to who ever hits the most posts or whoever just whiffed on a wide open net. But love the Warrior Sword thing, it just reminds me of the same kind of atmosphere of the 99 team.

Who would've thought back in September that we'd be one loser point behind Detroit at this point of the season?

Not me, that's for damn sure.

GO STARS GO!!!

Snuff out those Flames and keep that streak alive!

This team doesn't care that it played poorly for most of the game. They take advantage of their scoring opportunities and come out the next period playing better.

Edmonton for whatever reason plays us well. Good thing we won't face them in the playoffs.

Benn is a beast. Whoever for the Oilers really screwed up not taking Benn on the goal he set up for Neal. He just waltzed in and set Neal up point blank in the slot. His own goal was a beauty that made bulin appear foolish. That's becoming a great habit of his. Its so nice to see a dynamic offensive talent in my team's jersey for a change.

Lehtonen was fantastic. I was a huge doubter because of his injury history but he's been amazing and absolutely one of the major reasons we're where we are in the standings.

Nik Grossman showed more poise and offensive acumen in that one play than I think I've seen all year. What a tic-tac-tow play capped by a typically brilliant pass and shot by Ribiero.

As for the debate about Benn vs. Neal...Benn is our Bobby Ryan and Neal is our Danny Heatley. Both have excellent skills and bring different things to the table. Neal needs a center to feed him thus he's playing with Richards. Benn doesn't need someone to set up his scoring chances and with his skills he makes his linemates, Ott and Burish better. Neither should be traded. I'd ship out Morrow before any of the three young wingers leave.

I love back to backs, especially since I've had to wait three days for another Stars game. Go Stars, beat Calgary.

Gotta agree here. They're two vastly different players, but bother are going to be amazing for our franchise. People, including myself, get down on Neal because he's streaky. Name me a top sniper who's not?

This kid's only 23 years old and he's probably going to net 30 goals this year. How good is he going to get with more experience? Sky's the limit. He's our sniper and this team better not ****ing trade him or Benn or Loui.

Razor laughing openly at him, over several replays, really took it over the top.
