With all the call-ups, Avtsin will probably will have more offensive minutes to play, can't wait to see what he does.

Just looked up Brendon Nash's stats. Will he score another goal this year?

Nah, but he is good for one more assist.

How is Masse playing? He only has 1 goal in 28 games in the ECHL. I guess he was recalled because we didn't had any other choice.

done, 3 pts for Nash in about 4 minutes into the game. 3-0 Dogs already. Bishop, Palushaj and Nash with the goals.

I can't wait to see him at the next training camp. 6'3'' 220 lbs 2 way d-man with good skills. Any chances to see him crack the Habs lineup within 2 years? I have been very impressed by him this season in the games that I watched.

Are Fortier and Dumont improving?

Yes, he has shown good improvement, leads the dogs in scoring among the D while being solid in his own end as well. If he continues to progress he could see time in the NHL next year as injuries will likely hit. He's been impressive this year for sure.

Palushaj got a goal and assist today. 4 pts in 2 game for Palushaj.

Dumont has struggled more as Fortier I didn't expect too much from and he's had Bonneau as his LW for most of the season, other times he's had Schultz on his RW and Schultz has really struggled to do anything. Fortier when he gets PP has made the most of it, so he's surprised me with the offense, as I knew he was good in his own end. His speed helps him on the PK and the Randy's seem really happy with his play.

Dumont setup Hunter Bishops goal and had a fight, just thought he would do more in the offensive zone as he ripped it up last year, this year he's been mostly invisble in the offensive zone.

Good to see the Dogs keeping some momentum going even without half their team.

Love to see Nash putting up some points. One of my favourite current prospects since his performances in training camp this year.

Also, two straight blowout wins for the Dogs, and no points in either game for Boyd. Maybe those who were crying about him "not being given a fair chance" in Montreal can rest a little easier. Missing DD much? heh

I recently heard some people say that Engqvist has been playing against the Bulldogs' opponents top lines. Does this match what you Dogs fans have seen? I'm just surprised if that assignment hasn't been given to Maxwell. The Habs have always seemed to like Maxwell, and as he doesn't look to be much of an offensive prospect anymore, this would be the year for him to shut down top AHL'ers if he's in the Habs plans for next year, no? I'm not taking anything away from Engqvist, he might well be the better option defensively. Just wondering if this is bad news for Maxwell's future with the team.

The Dogs had only 10 forwards dressed and then lost Dumont when he got kicked out of the game, so to put up 7 goals with 9 forwards for a good part of the night is impressive although the goaltending for the whale was pretty bad.

Nash had a great game, the PP went 3 for 6 I believe, as he's on the top PP unit and was in on all the PP goals. His setup for Maxwell's first goal was a nice feed.

I didn't notice Boyd much at all, the Dogs have scored 14 goals in their last 2 games and Boyd hasn't been in on any of the goals. When he's not scoring he's invisible.

Yes Engqvist is often matched up against the top line, he's a beast on the PK, is likely the Dogs best in the face-off circle, usually it's Engqvist or DD that would take the important draws although now that they are up Maxwell will be looked upon to fill in.

I don't know what the future is for Maxwell, he's a skilled player for sure but if he doesn't get his nose dirty I'm not sure he will make it in the NHL at least with us. Going to be interesting to see what the team does with Maxwell and Carle, two guys that have been good for the Dogs and clearly have offensive skills but tough to say where they fit the team in the future.

What happened to Fortier and Schultz? Are they injured?

Game sheets for last two games here and here.

It's getting thin down there, skating 8D in a game w/ injuries to Conboy, Fortier and Schultz.

the phantoms are the worst team in the AHL and yet Mayer still sucked (except for the SO)

He had some impressive passes lately. Was with Boyd and Wyman last night.

the dogs are off till wed when they play a 10:30 am game against the moose (who are right on their tail for 1st place) Since the Habs last game is tuesday and then are off for almost a week, perhaps they will send Engqvist and White back after tuesday game.

Anyone know if his game has improved, and if so, where? Or is it just that he has more room to breathe now that a ton of guys have got called up?

Have you guys heard anything about Montreal moving the 'dogs to Quebec? I'm only interested as a Hamilton resident. I think it's the right move for the team, having the farm that close can be beneficial IMO.

But more importantly I'm wondering if there will ever be an OHL team in Hamilton, but I don't expect an answer to that until after/if the 'dogs are gone.

But, yeah, mostly just fishing for rumours of the 'dogs moving. I figured you guys would know if its true.
