Clouston May Be Fired

Sportsnet host just heard that there may be news and updates will follow within the hour. Wasn't sure if should label speculation or not

Murray was on the phone during the game, maybe that was the call for the hook? Or maybe he was ordering nachos, the world may never know.

Would Landeskog make a good coach?

The good thing is the Sens only play tuesday against the Sabres and the all-star break and another week-off

Time to settle some things so they can be back to play some NHL hockey. We will then be able to evaluate who has to stay and who has to leave. Actually, nothing is possible to conclude

Didn't even watch the game (thank God) and instead watched the movie "Repo Men" with Jude Law. What a crazy movie, wow

i'm no senator fan, but a west coast perspective would be to fire your GM
other than karlsson, what's he done for the good of the franchise?

How about we wait till he is actually fired, then we can have a "Clouston is fired" thread?

Rebuilt a decimated farm system. Few GMs would have been able to make a team out of what we have lost for nothing over the years...and a lot of that had to do with the old GM.

Ya, what's the point of firing him now? We have no chance of making the playoffs, so there really isn't much point now...

Dumb move if he is canned...

You blind. There is "Rumour" right beside the thread title.

Watched this the other day. Didn't anticipate the ending at all.
Also didn't watch the game, was in lecture and then went to the gym.

If Clouston does get fired, it's probably a motivation for the players to increase their value before the trade deadline, more than trying to salvage the season IMO.

if we fire clouston, i think we should do it in style.

wait until the next game we are being blown out after 2, and have him just not come back to the bench for the 3rd. After the game, he's disappeared. Assistant coach/murray's explanation? We let him go.

We can do what Harold Ballard wanted to do when he hired Roger Nielson to coach the laffs...he wanted Nielsen to come out for the first game wearing a paper bag over his head. Needless to say, Nielson did not go for it.

Brodeur sent down to Elmira, as per Joy Lindsey.

Good move!

Seriously, can we audition for the Sens goaltending job for the rest of this season? Not that I'll do any better but at least I will do it for free!
