No, apparently Leclaire will play in a wheel chair. Can't be worse then the last two days.

IMO they have waited way too long to fire Clouston, you gotta feel sorry for him the way these players responded tonight & almost every night this yr. It's the mercy rule I guess & hopefully it's true & he can go somewhere & resurrect his coaching career. Next grab Nabakov off waivers & let's see if he can be the answer for us next season. If not, target a goalie on July 1. If we don't grab Nabby off waivers he will be more expensive over the summer especially if he does well. It's a risk worth taking IMO.

Nabokov is not going to make a huge difference for this team but maybe he can at least stop some of these junior crappy goals our goalies always let in every game. Place Leclaire on Long Term Disability or if he can come back this yr try & trade him or just let him sit for the rest of the yr. Then try & trade our entire defence except Karlsson they are terrible.

Not true. They're going to go back to just hanging a tie from the cross bar.

Mark my words:

The New York Islanders will claim Evgeny Nabokov on waivers.

We will be stuck with AHL goaltending for the rest of the season.

The Isles will pass us in the standings ensuring we get Landeskog or Nugent-Hopkins.

What is the point of firing Clouston now?

To try to make the playoffs? lol

Give him the season, get a top pick and let him go at the end of the season when his contract is up.

Why fire him now? It's 15 games too late. Let him coach out the season.

You really can't allow this to go on any longer. There is obviously a disconnect between coach and players and that has to stop.

If they wanna fire Clouston then only coaching changing should be Murray taking his place.

I'd like to see them go back old-school and name a player-coach.

Luke Richardson behind the bench.

This season is a write off , so it would not hurt to give him a chance

Doubt Richardson's up to it at the moment given his recent circumstances.

Agreed but I seem to remember that Wamsley was being considered for a head coach somewhere? Why not Carvel or Wamsley or Sterling who has some NHL experience, afterall it's only until the end of the season? At this point, it's painful to watch & must be killing Clouston.

Honestly. Fire Murray, and keep Clouston the rest of the way. If we're gonna tank, we might as well tank as hard as possible

You have to give him credit he's no quitter which is more than you can say about half of his players if not more. I thought that Smith & Butler were our best players tonight, wait, our only players.

I don't get why it hasn't happened yet, it's just too ugly. Put the guy out of his misery.

Dumb move if he is canned...
Dumb move if he isn't. Get someone in there that can evaluate what we've got for the rest of the season. Clouston should be fired now and if Murray isn't coming back next season, he should be fired as well.

excatly, the status quo is alright with me. Spezza comming back is bad enough or Kovalev looking to stay in the NHL these last few dozen games.
