White played just under 12 minutes on the 4th line and was a +1.

In other words, he effectively did his job as a 4th line forward.
Should we impressed with a +1 in a 7-1 rout of an AHL team?

You're joking? Weber will not last as an nhl dman, just look at the sequence where he got his penalty. Couldn't cover the guy, was weak on the boards, then couldn't clear the puck, then couldn't take his guy in front of the net. He's extremely weak on D and we need an upgrade on him.

Clouston: "How do I still have a job?"

Alfie: "Dear god, what have I done to deserve this?"

Fisher: "Sweet, there's piece of gum under the bench"

Kovy: "Whatever, I fly planes."

This year is a write-off, might as well tank so they get a chance at a lottery pick.

Plus they already have 2 other coaches still on the payroll, not sure the owner wants to be pay for 4 coaches at the same time.

I think the Sens will start to unload all their high priced players soon, so the owner saves as much money as possible this year.

Well that was a fun game to watch. Hard to really judge the two new rookies given the competition they faced, but they did very well. A better test coming up tonight.

When this team scores early its almost always a fun game to watch.

Pouliot is playing like Andre was before he got rocked by Sauer. A lot of nice plays that work a lot of time but put him in some amount of danger. I hope the same doesn't happen.

edit: oh and Engqvist has the slowest acceleration of any NHL player, I'm 95% sure of it.

ALOT of Chanting and singing (which I got in on, almost every time) lots of Oles, Carey's and PK's.
I'd say it was more like 90% montreal fans lol

There was alot that happend in the parking lot after. Also someone drove right off the island and hit a car that ended up bring a 5 car wreck. That Sens fan that threw his jersey was 3 seats next to us. We also started the wave Fun night overall. I didn't care for the lost, thats how much fun i was having.

He's also, for the first time, playing regularly in the NHL.
For a smaller Dman, he's handling himself decently. Let him gain a bit of muscle and get use to the speed of the NHL, then he will look more solid.

I have little doubt as for him making it as a NHLer.

i like how DD's size hasn't been a factor. he put himself in the perfect place to be able to be safe and efficient with the tools he has. i like his board play, he can slip himself right on the puck and in between a chasing oponent and is pretty good at taking the shoves while maintaining control and allowing for an optimal passing lane open up.

i hadn't spent much time comparing physical size, but man did i lol when i finally compared him to the sen that was covering him. he looked like a child! he might just be too small and agile to nail.

i'll post again, i really see a window for a cup approaching. i can't wait to see this team in 2-3 years. heck i can't wait for next year's roster. it will be a key transitional year. our D should be young and stacked and i'm positive we will finally see our star forward arrive in town.

as someone posted, i still love how we have a whole bunch of generally reliable guys that all contribute. like having eight 20-goal scorers instead of two 40 guys, and 30 and a bunch of plugs. we function great as a unit and do a pretty damn good job with the parts we have assembled.

and whether we like our system or not, i like how it's at least being taught at both levels, so that when callups are made, the transition is a lot smoother and our young guys are more defensively responsible. working as 5D and then 5 forwards. i'm also pretty sure that ALL of our key young guys will pan out. this organization is presently oozing work ethic and leaderhip with a core for signed for years to come. and it's disgustingly contagious. all the guys we've recently drafted or traded for are all of a similar character mould. at worst we will have an organization full of average, but well-rounded young players who know how to work together to make everyone a bit better than they really are. and if that's a nightmare to you, we still have price.

we may not win one so soon. but it's still exciting to look ahead, and to think that we will likely become a top 6 team in the league. i know the 29 other teams don't just sit still while we get better, but we have depth and the long term vision that only a handful of teams can boast.

we have to seize that opportunity like chicago.

Liked his game too. His physical play is something that is sorely lacking on this team. He should leave his gloves on though, he can't fight for s**t

Extremely weak on d? That's a huge over exageration. Defensive coverage is not the strength of his game, that's why he is on the 3rd pair, but his puck moving and play at the point more than makes up for it.
