Forsberg has always been one of my favorite players but this is probably the first year that I definitely do not want him to play in Philly. I too subscribe to the "Forsberg with one foot is better than most" but we are so good this year that there would be no reason for us to ever think about it. I definitely think he can still help some other teams out though.
I actually hope he comes back and does well. He is great to watch.
I call major BS. He just barely started practicing with MoDo again.
how about we sign him. Seriously, I know you all will boo me because of the Foppa foot days, but for a good price, I'd take him - when he's good, he's just too good and if i recall didn't he say he owed us one for the fluky last place season in which he never played??

Fabricated by the media and blown out of proportion IMO.

WAS is the key word that should be in your statement.
Foppa still has the elite hands, hockey sense, strength, and decision making skills. Even if his foot issues limit him to average or below average skating hes still a dominate player.

Hey do not get me wrong. I have always liked him. I just think that his health is another matter. He can be the greatest player in the world. But he cannot do it on one skate.
Because he doesn't have confidence that his foot will hold up.
He doesn't have confidence for a good reason, it won't hold up. He's not getting any younger and that "better than 95% of the league on one foot," is way overused. I agree with Val though and have nothing but respect for the guy and wish him nothing but the best of luck.
People who paint him with the same brush as Brett Favre are way, way off.
Yeah, it isn't like he drags this crap out because he's an indecisive d-bag... He clearly really really wants to play, and is physically struggling to make that happen.

Eh, he isn't coming here. For the Avs, with their cap space, and that young roster... it makes sense to explore Foppa, I think.
