Chicago/Buffalo/Florida

To CHI: Montador and Weaver
To BUF: 3rd (CHI) and 7th (FLA)
To FLA: Stalberg, 4th (CHI), and 6th (BUF)

BREAKDOWN:

Chicago gives up a 3rd, a 4th, and Stalberg and receives Montador and Weaver
Buffalo gives up Montador and a 6th and receives a 3rd and a 7th
Florida gives up Weaver and a 7th and receives Stalberg, a 4th, and a 6th

Thoughts?

I think Montador could bring back a 2nd and 7th at the deadline without having to chip in a 6th.

Sabres can definitely at least get a 3rd for Montador, probably a 2nd rounder. No way they would get a 3rd and then lose a 6th for a 7th.

How has Stalberg looked with Chicago?

I've haven't read too many positive things about him.

Not sure why Florida would want Stalberg when they have the up and coming Dadanov. Seriously, that kid's going to be something special.

No, these kind of things never work, and we don't see multi team deals anymore in the NHL. Also, Weaver's been great for us, not sure he'll be moved.

like everyone else said. i thik montador could get a 2nd and 7th back. Ive liked Montador since he came to Buffalo, and wouldnt mind bringing him back next year, but that fact that hes in teh last year of his deal makes it tough to turn down a 2nd and 7th if its on the table

I don't really see the need for the hawks to pick up both montador and weaver considering we have keith-seabrook, campbell-hjalmarsson, and leddy solidified in the top5 with hendry and boyton as depth dmen. But I would like to get montador to pair with leddy and we have plenty of 2nd rounders to deal. Would obviously have to work it around the cap though. Not sure what montador's cap hit is?

1.550 million... Chicago would only have to fit roughly 400k under the cap if the deal was done at the deadline.

Leddy needs more time to develop even though he's been ok for us. Montador and Weaver would be good enough to do their role, stay at home, and give Hjalmarsson, Campbell, Seabrook, and Keith less minutes.
