Hasek had the best save percentage of anyone playing over 40 games and he was 4th in shutouts. You have to be an idiot to say he didn't play great.

Nothing against the Islanders or their fans...but I hope they don't claim him.

its just that ken holland does have quite a bit of pull with the league and his fellow GMs.

that and i believe no GM wants to be the guy who pulled a ****** move grabbing someone off waivers in this manner.

That explains Svatos and Wellwood clearing.

How does he have quite a bit of pull? He's a great gm no doubt but gms will do what's best for their team not what Holland wants them to do.

It's already happened twice this season ie Svatos and Wellwood.

St. Louis disagrees with your beliefs.

pull with other GM's? I'm sorry this is a business first and foremost. GM's aren't going to stop doing business with one another b/c someone screwed over Ken Holland. In professional sports it's every man for himself.

And he's only made like 12 trades in 10 years. It's not like anyone would notice if he "snubs" them.

Didnt he get injured in the Olympics, and that was the only reason he lost his job?

I recall many Wings fans commenting on how well he was doing at the time.

I was about to say this exact thing , sure Ken Holland has done a good job and is most likely respected around the league, but just because he is a good guy doesn't mean other teams are going to step out of his way. If Nabokov makes another GM's team more competitive, they will claim him.
