Funny thing is Naslund had a pretty productive year on the score sheet with 46 points.

Drury hasn't recorded 46 points this season and last combined.

Anyone else find it hilarious that we actually have a forward as a "healthy scratch" for this game?

Oh, I know. But Naslund's numbers were also on the decline though.

Drury just dosen't look right anymore.

Going to the game tonight. It will be the first live Rangers game I've gone to since a preseason game in Vegas against the Ducks in 95/96... They tied 2-2 that day, but tonight there won't be any ties!

Sucks a lot of my favorite players are injured, but I hear the King and Dupont will be playing. Should be interesting. I'm pretty much insanely excited right now.

Lundqvist will start, per Zipay and Gross.

yeah right. Gabby got his requisite multipoint/10 games a few nights ago. It's going to be a few more weeks before he is an elite player for a game again. The boys will be lucky to get an assist out of him.

It would really help us standingswise to take at least 4 points from these 3 games going into the olympic break.

Interested to see Dupont. Admittedly don't know much about the kid. Hopefully Kolarik continues the solid play from the other night with Boyle and Prust.

Thats exactly what I would call Gabs play for most of the season.

10 goals against 3 scrubs and 5 against everybody else.

And one wonders why he gets benched.

And who would you propose get his ice time instead?

It's always funny to me when people ride goal scorers when they're slumping.

Coming in peace from the ATL. For all the Ranger fans that will be there tonight, have fun but don't blame the locals when you see a ton of empty seats.... The local paper just reported about how the Atlanta owners have been lieing since 2005 and have wanted to sell the team and get out from under since the beginning.

The last of the disgusted fanbase is totally pissed right about now.

The fans always knew the owners didn't know the sport, didn't have any money to spend on the team, and didn't give a s***. Now they have sued their own lawyers for writing a buyout contract that has kept them hamstrung for the past 6 years. Yea us!

SO Anyways,
mix that glorious little insight with the fact that most of our lineup is injured, lingering pains but forced to play, or rookies also, and you will have a great chance with Lundquist in goal.

Hopefully nobody on either squad gets stupid and injures anyone out there tonight.

I'm happy Dupont is getting a shot. Weise was relatively unimpressive. I'm also glad Kolarik gets the bump to the 3rd line over Captain Q.

Change "Lundqvist" to "Pavelec" and it's like I posted on your board.

both fan bases in Atlanta should just get together and go get drunk instead of going to the game!

Sad part about naslund was he was the second leading goal scorer that year.

Drury as it stands now....might not even get a goal this year.

I would call it a slump if he was putting more shots on net. Spending huge amounts of time on the ice completely invisible and unengaged is not a slump.
