If they're going to lose in a game where they don't show up, I'd rather it be a team they're not competing for position with.

Yep.

While the Hawks have lost a lot of players, they'll feast on a start like this.

That ought to tell them that playing half a game isn't going to cut it. They were also probably looking towards tomorrow's game.

Probably. And the potential of McGuire just for more fun.

For some reason this game reminded me of that Columbus game. I hope they go on a similar run like they did after that disappointing game.

**** Boucher for giving up another horrendously bad goal.
**** the whole team for taking the 1st period off.
**** Hedberg for stealing a win.
**** Doc for losing his mind over an empty netter.
**** HBL for not burying one despite all the chances.
**** all the other lines for not doing anything.

Kill the Blackhawks and all is forgiven.

The result is the equivalent of too much bad wine.

Relax, guys. They're on a 3 (!) game win streak now, let them enjoy the moment.

Hard to get too worked up over this one. For as bad as they were through 2 periods, they were still a Boosh softie and a post or Herberg save away from a win

I do have to point out one good thing from this game though: The absolutely sweet cross-ice pass by Richie to Giroux which basically set up the goal by JVR. Looking at it again, it's basically of a diagonal through the neutral zone, fired from the red line.

Was a great all around play. The saucer from Giroux was silliness.

Carter was awful today. Maybe too many shots to the face in that fight.

If Hedberg played his whole career like how he plays the Flyers, dude would be a starter not a career backup

I flipped this one on early and saw how disinterested they looked. Maybe an actual L will remind them that they have to play 60-minute games. The 2-minute brain freezes are bad enough, but taking whole periods off is unacceptable.

Ah, whatever. Tomorrow's game will be telling if they have learned any lessons.

Agreed. A very deft tip from JVR also (as you noted).

Boucher looked really tired this game. He was losing his shape and just all around sloppy any time the Devils did anything that made him do more than stand still in his crease and accept a puck. Between his last couple games and Bob looking a little more solid of late, I think it might be time for Boosh to sit a few and recharge.

leino really needs to slow his game down and think about taking a shot every once in a while. i was really unimpressed with his play today. too many times he'll try to make a move or a play that results in the puck going the other way. throw the puck at the net. scott hartnell's on your line for a reason buddy.

Blues fan here!

I've got Philadelphia as one of the three contenders for the Cup.

#1 Vancouver
#2 Philadelphia
#3 Dallas

(Disclaimer: I am not a Philadelphia Flyers fans, but started to like them during last season's playoff run.)
