Our team is made of turnover machine/ shooting gallery. We have quite a few fast, mobile defensemen but some of them do not know how to play defense.
Our management is cheap, so the guy must be making close to league minimum and want to block shots.. like a LOT because our forwards are clueless in playing defense as well. Must also be tough mentally because the coach likes to bench for no apparent reason.
I'm telling you. Jason Garrison would look awesome with Shattenkirk. Mike Weaver is a right shot and there is no space for those on the Avs. Hejda is a temporary solution that might work.
Andreas Lilja is your man. Very good on the PK and he's a great shot blocker. He's on a 1-year deal worth $ 750 k. You can have him for a 3rd or a 4th.
What kind of cheap? In terms of contract or how much it would take to get him?
Mark Fraser, Anssi Salmela, and Andy Greene are all likely available on the Devils. All make under a mil and would take somewhere between a 2nd and 5th for each.
