I'll take the real screamer than the imitator. Pierre never bothered me, and neither does Milbury quite frankly.

The NBC crew is a ****ing joke. Emrick is alright but everyone else is garbage.

If they're working for national networks (they all work for more than one), they can't be terrible.

Milbury says a lot of stupid, stupid things, so I'm not a fan. Pierre knows his stuff, but the over the top man-love on a few certain players bother me. Doc's voice isn't one of my favourites, but there's a long list of worse announcers.

Pretty much. There's a lot to dislike among the various announcers, but I reserve my hate for those that truly deserve it.

Doc reminds me of an American version of Bob Cole. Half senile old men who are still decent hockey play by play guys

You know, I was under the impression that Cole was senile too, until I caught a Classic game from the 70's on TV. He was exactly the same 30 years ago -- screwing up players' names, or calling him the "the Flyer" or "the Ranger". He's not senile, he's just inept.

The thing is most people are too busy worrying about Mike Milbury the Islanders GM and don't want to admit that most of what Mike Milbury the pundit, says is exactly what most HF (the general population at least) is thinking. Of course that doesn't he's always right (there's plenty of idiots on HF), but it's just funny to hear people complain about him when more often than not he supports their agenda of Bettman Hate.

Looks like I'm gonna be turning on the radio for this game. I should do this more often as I do like Bundy's passion and no BS analysis. I'm not a fan of the NBC national guys all that much. I don't particularly dislike them, I just prefer the local guys like everyone else for the most part. Doc's OK but I think his voice can really be grating sometimes, especially if your team is behind.

Still, I don't think I'm going to be interested in hearing 2 1/2 hours of "remember the finals of last year?" Yes NBC, I do remember them. In fact I remember everything leading up to the finals. It was the best Flyers playoff performance I've seen to date (too young for the '87 finals, not around for the cups)

Flyers got caught yesterday 'cuz they thought they could win in "cruisesnooze control." It's rebound time.

It's not so much those editorial comments (some of which are ridiculous and others that are reasonable). The other night, he spent part of the intermission talking about how the Flyers were playing the trap game, but then a few moments later talked about how involved the defensemen are in the offensive side of the game and we see two forwards forechecking hard. It's that kind of blatant stupidity I can't tolerate.

Looks like the Flyers will be without JVR today due to a lower body injury

EDIT: Looks like I'm a bit late

Per Flyers GM Paul Holmgren: James van Riemsdyk is day-to-day with a lower body injury and will NOT play today vs. Blackhawks

He also said that we were trapping when we had 10+ shots halfway through the first period.

Why? Unless you're a branch manager at Dunder-Mifflin, if you're awful at your job, you're either fired or doing something else. They're credible, respected people in this game, and if they weren't they wouldn't be trotted out on national networks embarrassing themselves. Although, I'm aware people would rather listen to the ingrates at Comcast do nothing but collectively stroke the team the team for 2 hours without any cognitive game analysis outside of waiting for Coatesy to get drunk enough to fall on to the ice and get hit with a puck, and Jim Jackson pretending his dog died every time the Flyers get called for a penalty. National TV games are so much more refreshing than listening to those twits, maybe that's why I appreciate these games more.

Tactical analysis, he's not even close. When he talks like a former player he's fine, when he talks like a coach/GM not really. I refuse to watch NESN, but when he's on CBC, it's usually the former.
