Did great. Hope he's not discouraged, as he very well could be a regular next year depending on how he does in camp.

I wouldn't think so. Quite the opposite actually, I think he is encouraged by the experience. From everything I've read he fully understand his situation coming in undrafted, getting a shot at the NHL by playing and proving himself in the AHL.

I enjoyed watching him play. Nothing flashy but made sure to get the job done. Obviously the Dogs need him back, maybe Halpern is ready for Tuesday.

He looked to me like a 6'4" Tom Pyatt with a better shot. I would take that on my team any day of the week.

Really hope he's a fixture as a 4th (potentially 3rd in time) line center next year.

Hopefully, this means that Halpern is ready to come back?

I wouldn't say he did great, he didn't embarass himself for sure, but I think he needs to finish the year AHL and possibly another half to full year...but I wonder if he will report there for another year or want to go back home?

He definitely wasn't "flashy" but he didn't make any mistakes, and JM obviously had enough trust in him to use him on the PK a few times.

I hope he keeps building his confidence and makes the team full-time next year. That would make me happy. Like I said before, I'd like to get more Scandinavian/Nordic players on our team (Joel Armia!!) and he would be a good start.

I was really impressed by his work on the PK. He blocked at least 3-4 shots in the two games he played and didn't look out of place at all. It's unfortunate Fowler's goal last game went off his stick but that was a total fluke play. Hope to see more of him next year.

I was satisfied with his play as i expected little from the 2way playing rookie. I saw no glaring weakness in his game, i think he has decent upside. He will no doubt be a good option on the bottom 6 next season and provides valuable depth now.

I bet the games helped his physical and mental development.

That's too bad. really enjoyed his game, and he seemed to do all the little things right, which is all you want from an ahl bottom 6 call-up. Hope to see him back.

I really want to get some guys like him who are dominant on the PK, hopefully so we can give pleks more evenstrength and PP time.

he might have just been sent down to save some cap space
i could see white sent down after the game on tuesday just because the Habs dont play for a week. and recall him before the next game

Kind of reminded me of Radek Bonk when he was in Montreal. Big guy, doesn't skate especially well, decent enough tho, wasn't flashy but didn't make glaring mistakes.

Reminds me of Craig Darby.

You could be right. Good GMs don't just make the big signings, they also find ways to squeeze out as much cap space as they can (not like these guys have expectations of staying around full time yet anyways) just in case additions have to be made at/by the deadline.

There were times when he pressed the blueline, and got into shooting lanes, but there were also other times when he was lost. I dont know what he was doing on the play that lead to the fowler pp goal.

Overall, the sampling was far too small to make any sort of judgement.
