Fedotenko re-signed if he takes about the same salary AND if Drury is bought out/traded
Prospal, Frolov, Gilroy let go
Kreider, Werek, Bourque, Hagelin, Campbell signed and in the AHL
We all know it usually takes bigger players longer to develop. What is surprising is that this season it is like Boyle flipped a switch and his whole game changed. More determined, more confidence... the work on the skating maybe helped with all that.
In any case, the guy seems to have found his niche in the pro game. And, even better, being a 4 year college player often helps with longevity, less wear and tear on the body. So, he is a young 26 when you consider that. We might even see more improvement over the next couple years.
As long as he's re-signed. I think most will hold off until then.

NHL replica jerseys are pretty expensive relative to replica jerseys for other sports, so I usually only buy players' jerseys who I know will be with the team for a while. Boyle has been great for us this season, but none of his know his fate beyond the end of the season. He could be re-signed (very likely IMO), but he could also leave for more money, or this year could be a fluke and he could be off the team after next season. Whereas if I buy someone like Staal I know that he'll still be with the team in 5 years.
This has just been a great surprise. He was a first round pick and did show ability to score at BC and the AHL.
Good for us, in years past we were the ones giving up on guys who broke out after trading them away.
