Flyers' van Riemsdyk hoping for quick return (update: doubtful for Tuesday, Jan. 25)

Quote:
CHICAGO -- Philadelphia Flyers forward James van Riemsdyk is hopeful the lower-body injury that kept him out of Sunday's 4-1 road win against the Chicago Blackhawks will heal soon.

Van Riemsdyk spoke to reporters following the game on Sunday at the United Center and said he incurred the injury in the third period Saturday against the New Jersey Devils.

"I tweaked a little something yesterday and kind of fell awkwardly," he said. "We'll see how it feels [this week]. I'd rather not go into the details, but it's just a little something and we'll see how it feels [on Monday] and go from there."

One game before the all star break and then they're off for a while so I'd rather have him sit out Tuesday's game and play it safe.

"I'd rather not go in to the details." Sounds scandalous...

This.

Let Carcillo get some time, keep our forwards prepared for whatever needs to be done, and let the groin rest.

Probably a groin strain or something.

Lots of Adam Sandler movies and he'll be fine.

Get the dudes who used to stuff towels in Forsberg's and administer "hard massages to the groin."

Too bad, I like the way he's played lately.

i was a few rows fromthe corner on sat. I saw him come into the corner and lose his balance. Looked like he slammed his knee into the but or maybe twisted and went down awkwardly. He skated back up ice favoring his leg.

Probably a strain.

According to Homer JVR likely won't play tomorrow. Carcillo will be in despite missing practice today because of family issues.

There's no need. Subban out-trolls himself on a constant basis. Nothing's more humbling than talking all kinds of crap and then turning over the game winning goal to the guy you've been trying to troll all season.
