JANUARY SCHEDULE:

QUOTES TO NOTE:

We battled so hard, even with losing two key guys, and other guys just stepped up again.
It was a team effort, and a great victory.
- Mats Zuccarello

It was a great feeling to get this win.
We had a tough loss the other night, and we’re missing guys, so right now we’re just battling, and these were two big points.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I’ve said it all year, this is an easy team to like because it’s played as a team. You have to give them high marks tonight.
I am glad they got rewarded with a win because they deserved it.
- John Tortorella

Play a solid defensive game and we might just get a point. And Varlamov and Neuvirth are both out, so we're facing a 3rd string goalie...

We better come out ready to go, cause this team is gonna remember what we did to them earlier in the season...

The yellow guys are the Rangers, Washington is the horse.

Still no news, so I won't bother editing the lineup.

Caps aren't slumping like they were the last time the Rangers owned them. Gonna have to earn this one.

Not a backup.

Let's at least make this guy look like swiss cheese. Pucks need to start going in the net and the forcheck needs to really get going.

Negativity aside, LETS DESTROY THE CAPS!

the way we make some average goalies look like all stars, do you think its justified that this 3rd stringer has me worried?

ill be watching on the TV for a change. thanks you VS. i hate the caps announcers almost as much as the PIT guys, but the screen is so much better than my laptop and gamecenter.

LGR!!!

Holtby hasn't played bad. Expect the usual back-up/third string god-mode.

I'll take the 1 point tomorrow, then with Florida coming after. Of course its good to get 2, but 1 is better than 0.

The quarter handle of Smirnoff I drank throughout the game has cheered me up enough.

Really? After what i heard today i'd be surprised if he DOES play. According to Gross he could not even turn his body today. Hopefully the day of rest has him ready to go but i would expect to see both him and prust get at least a game off.

This whole point system is stupid. We have more wins than the Caps but we are behind them in the standings.

Beat them 7-0 in the Garden when they were in a slump... Now they're playing better and we're hurting. And the game is on VS and in Washington... ugh... I hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad bad feeling about this one...

The Rangers, injuries and all, have scored more goals than the Caps to this point in the season which is just ridiculous. Light em' up boys.
