Grachev had a hat trick so the call is not so surprising with the way forwards have been getting hurt, this a great opportunity for the kid to earn his chops

I read that the reason Del Zotto was sent down was because he stopped listening to the coaching in practice and making the same mistakes over and over during gameplay. Perhaps he got the message from Shoenfeld (sp) and also deserves the call up.

Resting Girardi a game wouldn't hurt Dan's game as I am sure he is beat up after being a league leader in blocked shots.

i hope Grach gets to play now is a great time for him to show some drive and
skill. He looked good his last call up so we shall see. That being said i dont want to see him take Kolariks minutes, I have been impressed by his play

McDonagh - Gilroy
Del Zotto - Eminger
This lineup scares me....

Way too many Whalepack names in there....

Grachev was playing great with Kolarik and is a Prust replacement in my view. DZ for Girardi insurance. Torts is also keeping them hungry and encouraged on the Whale. Smart move.

I was hoping to get a look @ Valentenko.

I wanted to see him on the PP with that heavy shot of his.

We need a big shot on the PP.

Not disagreeing with the fact that we need a shot from the point, but Valentenko only has 7 points in the AHL this year, I don't really think he's the answer.

Shot means nothing for point production if you dont have the legs and the smarts.

Semenov had a 104 mph slapper. Kotalik's cant have been far off.

negative, if a player is 18 or 19 years old, as long as he hasnt played 10 NHL games his ELC will slide another year regardless of what league he plays in, it happend with Grachev last year and also it happend with Anisimov when he came over as well
