We don't have enough healthy assets to send a package for Iginla and still field a competitive team.
Iginla has 2 yrs left at 7 mill per, and Drury has a NMC, how do we fit him?

Drury was a Flame--back in 2002-03. He didn't like Calgary. He asked to be traded. That's how he became a Sabre.

Why would Calgary do this?

Not opposed to this move if true, but it depends on what goes the other way. No way do I move Gaborik, Dubi, AA, Steps, Kreider for him. (Staal and Hank should go without mentioning.... they're going nowhere) Other than that, I'd have to see the whole trade before getting happy/pissed about it...

Why is stuff coming out Montreal or any other credible source(some of the twitter BS) taken seriously?

Over the summer another rumor out of Montreal had the Flames preparing an offer sheet for Marc Staal.

Last July 1,another rumor out of Calgary had Ryan Callahan going to the Flames.

Last trade deadline day(report out of Canada),it was Souray and Cogliano coming to the Rangers.

Rangers have back to back games as well so made no sense. I can see them getting a Dman for sure at the deadline but only the right C option.

Just play the kids things have gone rather well so far
