Jiri Hudler and Mike McCollum
For
Mike Fisher

Is a much better option for both if you ask me. Higher risk, higher reward for Ottawa.

Maybe Hudler & Michalek gel as a line. It also gives Ottawa a goaltender prospect who has shown imperfections so maybe DT lets him go.

McCollum isn't a lock to be a star, plus Howard seems to be the young goalie of the future. Hudler has had problems with the organization so maybe moving him out is a good thing anyway.

That is not how players should be evaluated.

Hudler and Michalek played together in their draft year IIRC, so maybe.

I'd do this trade, Ottawa wouldn't.

Also, Detroit isn't going to trade Filppula, they really like him for some reason.

It's not like they ever find their all-stars in the first round anyway.
You must not watch the Red Wings very often he is massively underrated. Poor mans Zetterberg plays both ends of the ice very well fantastic skill he is just stuck behind tremendous depth.

But an awesome second line center is also something the team needs moving forward. Spezza-Filppula 1-2 punch is pretty good

Flips still has a lot of untapped potential. He is versatile, young, cheap and has a very good 2 way game that's gotten better eVery year. No way I'd trade him.

Fisher could bring a valuable addition, but for Detroit I see more risks than chances with regard to this trade. Filppula fits very well in their system, is versatile and seems to have some potential left, although his development is rather slow. The cap hit difference of $ 1.2m allows the Red Wings also to add a veteran for depth, like Modano or Salei. To trade Fisher for picks (including the 1st 2011) would be very attractive for Detroit, but the salary cap quickly destroys any pipe dreams...

BSHH
