Man our faceoffs are soooo baaaaaaad!!!!!
It's like rebounds in basket, faceoffs controls the flow off the game so they need to be won!

I was at the game. The most fun I've had in a loss. Close game, but really messy.

Good: Zucc
Bad: The defense
The Redden: Henrik. He let in a few softies.

I was at the game too and this is exactly what I vote for. Except now I see it was Anisimov's fault.

What was Anisimov's fault? I noticed he got very little playing time around the end of the 3rd with the lines being mixed up. I saw a line change of Grachev, Gaborik, and Newbury once. Then I saw a line change with Boyle, Gaborik, and Avery. Is Anisimov in the doghouse?

Two of the Cats' goals were unfortunate deflections off of Anisimov's stick and body.

Good: Zucc
Bad: Gabby. I don't mean to pick on the guy that's been playing better as of late, but I felt he left a lot to be desired tonight.
The Redden: Henrik. I went to the game (it's my birthday also), and you don't see Henrik let in 3 soft goals in one game very often.

It's too bad because the comeback in the 3rd and momentum we had could have very well led to a victory or at least a point in this game.

Honorable "Good" mention: Sean Avery. He was all over the place tonight. Offensively, he played pretty well.

Speakin of softies, you guys must have ate too much crap at the concession stands if you think Henrik let in 3 bad goals. 2 were deflected, this is a fact.

And another was point blank. The guy can't pitch a perfect game every night.

At the game it looked like it was Lundqvist's fault on that last one. Give us some slack, there are no replays to really break it down. On my way home I was pissed thinking it was his fault. I was just looking at the scoreboard and all I was able to see was that 17 SOG and 4 was let in.

I'm satisfied with two points out of four over the back to back. The points just came in different games then I thought they would. Meh, let's heal up and come out firing after the break.

That makes it even worse.

Play bad and loss = understandable

Play a full level above the other team and lose due to 3 terrible bounces = enraged

We do not have an easy schedule opponent-wise next month, I have to say.

How'd everyone do with their "Start 2011 with a bang" predictions?

Well we lost so that always sucks. But every game this team does something that I like. If we can some of our guys back, and they can stay healthy, this could get really fun.

Went to the game...it was actually really fun for a game against Florida.

Redden definitely goes to the 4th goal. Looked like a really soft goal for Hank; it hit his glove and just bounced behind him.

POTG goes to Zuc. 3 assist game, nuts. Met him after the game too, really nice guy.

Speaking of, we stopped Dubi and Steps for autos too. Asked Dubi when he'd be back, he said hopefully right after the all star break. As Step was signing my sweater, Sauer walks out hauling ass, winks at Dubi, and speeds away before anyone get get him.

edit: We also played a really good game for the most part past a few defensive blunders. Was really disappointing to have the Panthers regain the lead in the 4th.

I thought the same thing from my seat but it hit Anisimov in the back before it got to Hank and bounced right over him. Henrik's not at fault for that.

Oh wow, really hard to see in person.

Oh well, **** happens. We played very well and I think it's better to take that good play into the ASB rather than subpar play and a win.

Hank was really pissed though...I also went to get his auto (my friend wanted to go hunting for them...) and he stormed off past everyone.

Yeah, Henrik's usually cool with all that stuff so he was probably really pissed off tonight. It happens. He didn't play great tonight but he wasn't getting any bounces his way either. Lot of flukey goals.

I know he's a legit 40 goal scorer. But so was Mike Gartner. He gets a lot of goals but in short bursts and then he disappears. He scored against the Caps, but the fans knew that before he even did. I thought maybe he could be the type of player like Jagr was for us. Someone who can carry a team on his shoulders for a long stretch and maybe wear a "C."
I'm not saying he's a floater or anything. I question his level of passion more than anything. At first I was real excited about getting this guy. Now I have my doubts.
Hopefully he proves me wrong in the second half.

That's what I like about him. He's such a competitor.

If you want he'll be over at Steiner Sports on February 16th. I'll have no choice but to attend but it's in Nassau though (Roosevelt Field). Not as convenient. But he'll have no choice but to take pictures with you and sign autos.

Hank let in 4 bad goals. When you lose every goal is a bad goal.
