as talented as MZA is, he is pretty far down the list in the way of points for rookies. Plus the Rangers already have three all-stars and there are some teams only have one.

oh well we can always hope someone else gets injured.

But all (bad) jokes aside, they'll regret not putting him there when he gets most points/game played among rookies at the end of the season!

Lets hope you`re right, as long as he`s playing better and better huge points will come. It looks like he`s almost fully comfortable now and he says himself he`s much more relaxed since the call-up.
I think everyone can see that too. Only injuries can stop this guy from being a huge star.

Not interested, Zuccarello wants a few days off. He'll explore NYC and show his drinking skills at Warren 77

As much as I'd like it for MZA's sake, I'd rather he continues as far under the radar as possible for as long as possible.

as long as he keeps wrecking goalies in the shootout and keeps being short, NHL.com will report about it lol the last 2 times he's won the game for us, there was a link to the goal and a story about him being small. i want him to stay low key, too, though. it'd make his breakout even sweeter.

I think it would've been nice to see MZA there.

I'm not sure how this all star thing is working this year with all the changes. I havent really taken a liking to it. I'm assuming they're still going to hold the Rookies game with the 4 on 4 play prior to the actual allstar game. Is that correct? If so I would've love to have seen MZA in 4 on 4 play with the other talented rookies out there.

NHL.com had a feature story up about him last night.

Without having looked at any stats, has MZA played anywhere near as many NHL games this season as those other kids listed in this thread? Skills-wise, I'd love to see him, and he'd put on a hell of a show; however, I do think it would be a little unfair to pick a kid who had been called up midseason over a kid who's been playing with his big club from day one.

Definitely not. Some of them have played 50+ games already, MZA only played in his 17th last night.

PK ****ing subban? Really? That's a joke exactly what skills will he be showcasing in the all-star skills comp? His uncanny ability to secretly slewfoot guys without the refs seeing, or maybe he'll show off his quick elbow to the side of some guys heads. That's rediculous and I'm not even saying that because I want to see mza but subban is no role model for the rest of the leagues rookies or young kids, he's a dirtbag who IMO isn't even great defensively.

He's a dirtbag that plays for the Canadiens though...so that makes him fine in Bettmans book..

Bettmans All-Star Recipe
Take 1 part fan ballot stuffing
Mix with 2 parts league bias
Skim off any excess NY talent
Sprinkle with undeserving penguins goalies...

and presto...another crappy allstar game that has become an after thought to the skills competition.

I disagree about Skinner. He has played better than some of the all-stars on the roster, read the article. He earned it.

The other rookie spot, well that's probably true.
