No harm in calling up a bunch of AHL guys and trading away/releasing on waivers a couple forwards (I wouldn't mind seeing Lappy and Pyatt gone, Desharnais can replace him as RDS favourite). Then see what Boyd, Desharnais and White can do. But isn't it pissing off everyone to continually see our young guys produce in the AHL, then get called up to the Habs and do nothing? This never happens to the Colorado Avalanche.
Call me crazy, but I think that if Boyd has a real chance to play on the 2nd line and has some PP minutes, he will outperform Pacioretty for this year.

No way Boyd clears waivers this time Isles would grab him if not another team.
He'll refuse to report because he signed with the Habs
Garth Snow has already checked out flights in advance for Boyd. The cheapest one is Spirit airlines in Buffalo. Now he just has to wait on PG recalling Boyd to spring the trap.
Boyd did not get a real chance here. The organization should do him a favor and put him on re-entry so he can get a chance somewhere else.
Maybe they try recalling him this week. If he clears they give him another shot. If he doesn't then they bring back White. Is he a UFA next year? If so give him a chance somewhere at least.
On a worst team, he'd be a permanent 3rd/4th liner for sure. He seems like a good guy and when he plays there seems to be a lot of effort and character.
Hope he finds himself a team that will give him a chance next year.
Quite frankly, I don't understand why he's being treated like this in Montreal. Stop waiving him and trade him for nothing. No team will claim him as they're scared he might not perform and they can't send him down especially after the Habs have waived him like what now?...3-4 times? Trade him for nothing damnit, let him play somewhere else. He's too good for the AHL.

I never did dislike Boyd.. I think Martin just used him improperly
Same. I actually think it would be more correct to say Martin never actually used him. Not a shift on the top6... he could have been good there with Gomez and Gio instead of having Moen on the 2nd line for 30 games.
Let's be patient witg Dustin. He clearly didn't have a spot on the roster this year, but is now having a great run in the AHL. Let the kid find his stride there and see what he turns up with at the camp next season. Yes, I'd resign him.
I'm glad for the kid , but come on it's the AHL not the NHL.
it's easy to put points in the AHL but in the nhl you have to be aware defensivly and this is Justin's the biggest weakness. He's not good enough offensly to be on the top 2 line with the habs and he's to bad defensly to be on the bottom 6.
