So... Smithson with a terrible clear that Ward had to try and clean up (by which he makes a bad clear to his own point), and then Smithson doesn't take the body in front of the net. Awful job by praying manthis there

Congrats to Sweatt on his first goal, just wish it wasn't against us.

Way to go Ward.

I guess that is the game. When you let a rookie score like that, you may as well go home. Such a shame too, Pekka has played his heart out.

It's bad enough I stayed up late & watched this game ... it's worse that they blew a lead

Wasn't much of a lead honestly. But even so, very frustrating. They get our hopes up, Rinne plays lights out and we crap the bed in the last 10 minutes.

I think it's safe to say someone else starts the next GDT. Token?

Rinne played well but some bad plays and we give up two goals. Our own goal was a comedy of errors itself.

Well, head home, rest up, Weber heading to the all star game and we'll be ready to continue against the Flames in February.

That sucks. I thought our energy would win it tonight. We did play tough for most of it. A few breakdowns. Too bad for Rinne.

We played fine until we scored, at which point we went into all-out-scramble mode trying to protect that intimidating one goal lead. It's a shame we wasted an otherwise tremendous performance from Rinne, but there'll be more games we have to win like this one...with a goal or two...then there will be like those last week where we were dropping five on opponents.

So mad right now, I can't even think of what all to type. Mainly, I can't wait to hear when the 2 game suspension of the goon who speared Wardo in the face starts, and I think I will amend my request to never have Wade Belak on the ice again; he needs to immediately charge, swing his stick, and maybe even take his skate blade to the next duchebag who gets away with choking Horns in front of the net . How in the world have so many players been able to do what they've done to#27 without ANYTHING being called or ANY retaliation taken place this far into the season?? As far as the rest of the team, PLEASE LEARN HOW TO FINISH OFF SCORING CHANCES!!!!!! Leggy's breakaway, Suter leading a 2 on 1 late in the 2nd, Goc and Ward in front of the net- not to mention spending 1:30 in their own end during the first "power" play. VERY, VERY, VERY TOUGH WAY TO GO INTO THE BREAK, but considering 6 out of a possible 12 points were earned, I guess I can sleep after simmering down.

epic effing FAIL....

until we learn how to win THESE kind of games, we will forever be the also ran... we can make the playoffs but we just cant get over the hump to be an elite team...

I told my son when Goc couldnt score from point blank range that we would regret it...

and of course the worst part is we have to let this one fester and rot through the All Star Break...

where is the "barfing guts up" smiley??

We outplayed this team tonight and we lost. That's what happens when you don't finish. Too many chances and no goals. When you don't finish and then keep the Canucks in the game it's our own fault. Rinne played outstanding. The Jeckyll and Hyde comes back again with this team. But against a hot team in Calgary and good team in Van we score 1 goal against both. That doesn't get it done. The pp continues to be an embarrasment. That I don't understand with talents like Weber and Suter on the pp. That has to be coaching when the pp has been so bad for so long. We rely some much on the point shot that we are predictable.
