Personally, Im fond of the Panther's Radek Dvorak.

He's A+ on the PK and always has had a good work ethic on the forcheck.
He fits in seemlessly on the 2nd PK, Betts-Carcillo/Powe Line.

I dont think it would cost us too much to attain a guy like Dvorak.

Id offer up a guy like Oskars Bartulis or a late pick seeing how Dvorak isnt a premiere veteran ala Arnott/Fisher.

Any thoughts on Radek Dvorak?

Langenbrunner would have been a perfect fit!

Yes, me too. While I'm not ripping the kid, he has played ok. But I would rather have TWO wingers with Richie who can create and finish a little better than Nodl. While I know he scored wherever he came from, it's not yet transferred into the NHL game. He's more of a 4th/3rd line mucker/checker right now, and I think Richie could use a little more of a finisher on his line. I would even rotate Nodl and Carbomb on the scratch list when all are healthy.

Will the flyers clear some more salary before making their move? Stay tuned. Keep an eye on Eric Belanger

Belanger would be good, but Phoenix is still in a playoff spot

Cleary and Datsyuk are back next week. What a sick addition. Look for the Wings to be the team to beat... Cleary is the only player on that team that can play every position on every single line, 1st-4th.
Funny how people forget the player he was in Junior.
More curious how you guy can sign Nodl and Leino with Girioux getting a raise to 3+mill....
Carter richards Hartnell Briere Pronger Carle timmonen meszaros coburn.... How can you guys afford increases?
One of your rfa's are done or one of your big forwards...
Has to happen unfortunately for you guys...
I still pick you guys this year as favorites when healthy this year.

As a Newfoundlander I'd love to se Cleary in the Orange and Black, but he is a great player for the Wings... he won't be leaving there.

Next year, O'Donnell, most likely Zherdev, and probably someone else will be coming off the books. Plus the cap will probably increase, and we already have 1.5 in cap space. (I think. It's close to that.) We'll be fine.

Maybe a bottom 6 forward, but I really like this team right now.

Zherdev will go, but I think we can keep Leino, Nodl and Powe. Cap is supposed to go up by like 2-3 mill which is pretty much enough to cover Leino

If those three guys get decent raises (obviously Leino gets a big raise), we have 12 F, 6 D, and 1 G. Realistically, we'd need to grab one more of each position with basically however much the cap goes up by. We're okay in that spot.

2 goalies with Leighton. He resets to being a Flyer in the offseason, doesn't he? He's signed at $1.55 million for next year.

And thus would only fit if we have room and wouldn't rather have someone back up for half that hit.

We normally carry 7D and 13F.

I wouldn't even give Nodl a raise. Give him what his cap hit is now, but guaranteed instead of from bonuses. Maybe we bring up Wellwood?

I see Homer Carrying Walker next year again if he isn't somehow dealt.

It is very likely that the cap goes up by 3mil, but in the end we should have 1-2mil to sign another Forward.
