Congrats to Carle. I've watched 2 Dogs games this season, one in person and Carle was the D-man that impressed me the most.

He is an underrated player. Has a long NHL career ahead of him. Could replace a Spacek in near future.

I'd be interested to see what he can do in the NHL, going to be interesting camp in the fall.

As for Carle getting the All Star nod, I would have gone with Nash personally.

btw. Nice shot from Boyd to open the scoring. Boyd 12 (Avtsin, Carle) he used the defensemen as a screen, he pulled up and fired it over the shoulder. 1-0 Dogs in a huge game.

When I saw this thread, I asked myself, isn't Nash better? I haven't watched one game, so is that your opinion Montreal, Nash is better?

That's what you call a pure goal scorer

17 games since he has been sent down. I honestly don't know the teams plans, but he doesn't have a contrat for next year. I'd like to keep him but no sure he will wanna sign, probably look for a team where he has a shot at making the team

I'd say he'd be nice to have as emergency backup for the playoff. Keep him on a short leash and throw him as an explosive 4th liner when the other team starts to get tired.

Otherwise, if he hasn't grown defensively, he'll only be a liability for our team system.

They are often paired together on the top pairing, so it's not clearcut since Nash is slightly older but I would consider him better since he's doing it as a rookie and Carle's in his 4th AHL season (granted he's missed a full season to injuries) Carle has been scoring goals while playing solid in his own end, Nash is stil prone to some mistakes here and there but he's really noticeable out there and has been impressive on the PP while being solid in his own end.

I have watched a few games and was more impressed with Nash, even more when you consider it is his first pro year!

Thats a paradoxal sentence to say the least, the kid is injury prone at the AHL level, he probably missed more games than he played so far and its not like he is tearing up the AHL when healthy.. Im higher on Nash personally..
