Changing Phlex

I am confused about this and why is the Adirondack Phantoms changing there Mascot to a Regional Character of the Adirondacks?

I don't even know what to say. I didn't think it was possible to downgrade from Phlex, but clearly I was wrong.

According to the Phantoms website, the mascot's name is Dax.

Some of the comments on the Phantoms facebook page are pretty funny. Clearly this mascot is not going over very well.
