All-Star Draft, Skills, and Game Thread

Bored. Want to watch the Flyers but will have to suffice with the All-Star draft and skills. Might as well have a thread where we can discuss it.

Draft is tonight at 8 on TSN/VS.

I small part of me wants Giroux and Briere to face each other.

I have a feeling Giroux and Briere are going to be picked back to back

I might just catch this game for the first time in years.

Hoping Roo shows 'em what he can do.

I'm listening to Preston and Steve and they brought up an idea that I completely forgot about regarding player selection. Why not just pick sticks from a pile like everyone does for pick up games? Granted, not as "interesting" as a full out player draft, but seeing as how the ASG is basically a pick up game for the pros, why not?

Laviolette to coach Team Lidstrom; Quenneville to coach Team Staal. So much for the reunion.

Boo. Wish Laviolette had Team Staal.

Giroux should be fun to watch. This is the kind of stuff that he's made for.

For starters it's not as entertaining as a mock draft, plus what if one team gets all the forwards.

FYI I suggested this a month ago.

Plagarism on Preston and Steve's part.

The jerseys are ruined by the vertical stripes on the bottom of the sleeves. Other then that they're kind of nice actually.

I like the stripes, especially on the blue jersey.

I'd like to get a Briere one if possible, regardless of what jersey it is.

Agreed. The stripes don't work for me.

I'm slightly on the fence, but I kinda like the stripes.

I'll reserve judgment until I actually see them during the game...but I think they're kinda cool. If nothing else, they're unique.

Ok so anyone else think the draft already has happened and they are just going to be staging this whole thing? Would make the jerseys a little tough to put together with only 24 hours (48 if they don't wear them in the skills competition...can't remember if they do or not). I guess that's not that big of a deal, though. Probably doesn't take too long to customize a jersey. No?
