Did the Boston back checker not put his stick between Matthias' legs there? Are you kidding me? That's how you break a leg...unbelievable.

Call me crazy but I don't think I'd mind seeing Weiss, Booth and Frolik all gone after the season....

Its all good and well that they want to stay and win here, but when they don't contribute and are streaky as hell... It doesn't help the franchise move forward. I think I am more disappointed in Frolik than anything.

I wonder if having Olesz around is ruining Frolik. Somewhat similar to Jokinen and Horton.

Ellerby looks really confident. Liking what I see from this kid. We're going to have a solid young core of d-men.

I'm surprised Allen nailed that. I was expecting him to hit the glass.

Not a bad overall effort against the best goaltender and one of the best defensive cores in the league. I was extremely impressed with that 3rd period to attempt to come back. I just wish they could play like the whole game or when they have the lead. That's what the difference is between our .500 team and a playoff contender.

I liked Vokoun's game much better on this night than last night vs. NYR. Whether Bill Lindsay agress with me or not, I felt Vokoun's rebound control was awful vs. Rangers. I feel Boston put more quality chances on him tonight with less puck pressure as the game went on where the Panthers took over in the 3rd. Good road game ,but typical Panthers...get an A grade effort from Vokoun tonight, but score only once. Tim Thomas was solid if that matters.

The trade was for Campbell with Horton as a throw-in, at this point. Campbell has done everything asked of him and more. Great on the PK, scores more than I thought he would, fights when he thinks it can spark the team, even if he's overmatched. Always seems to be in the right place. Works perfectly for Julien.

Horton...I don't know what to say. End of discussion.

I think that's twice now that Wideman has had a chance to tie a game against the Bruins late only to be stoned by Thomas. Bruins fans booing Wideman is absurd and embarrassing. Good luck the rest of the season.

That's not being fair to Olesz! The problem with Olesz is that many people expect(ed) him to be an offensive power. He's not. But, he is an excellent defensive forward. Think about Reasoner - Dvorak - Olesz from a defensive perspective. Pretty darned good.

Frolik - that's a whole other matter. Unfortunately he can't skate forward worth a darn. Watch his forward stride as he skates toward the camera. He "snow shoes", i.e. his feet are extremely wide so his stride is very short, which means he's slooooowww going forward. That's why he can't get around a D-man, why he doesn't generate scoring chances on his own,,,,,,,,,, He's lucky that he has the KHL "threat" card to play with Talon and co. otherwise he'd be in Rochester IMHO.

Yes. Me too. He just looks very smooth and very confident out there. This kid is going to be really good. Im glad they didnt rush him either and it looks like that is paying off.

was at the game. panthers just couldn't find their legs until the 3rd, imo. there was no jump. not unrelated, they were unwilling to get pucks deep and retrieve them. lots of turnovers, "cute" plays and weak perimeter shots on entry. not a recipe for a panthers win. despite that, and some scrambly play in their own end, i had a feeling if they came out strong and could muscle one past thomas, they could make it interesting. that last little flurry was intense - really thought they were going to get the thing tied.

all in all, at .500 straight up and competing every night, i'm pretty happy with this season at the AS break. they are keeping it interesting.

I miss him I got such a high watching him block shots like an old time no-mask goalie..and he always tried.

Same. At least we didn't lose much, if any except age, when we acquired Reasoner to man the 4th line.

Did anyone else think it dropped over the line under Thomas? Should've been reviewed, can't believe it wasn't!

Only reason he left is because he deserved to bust his ass for a contender. The Bruins are better because of him, most certainly not worse.

I was at the game and thought it very lame that some loud ignorant fans were booing Dennis Wideman.

He almost scored with a few seconds left. I almost wished he had...but it was snowing hard out and I had to drive to NH...I didn't want to have to stay for OT.

Wides is a favorite of mine and I hope he knows (he probably could care less) that many fans in Boston like him.

I am pleased he is playing well for you.

Horton ...I don't know. I don't love him yet. Campbell has been the better of the two so far.

Good Luck . I keep an eye on your team .
