The great personnel swap 1/28

http://www.stocktonthunder.com/2011/...smith-cameron/

http://theahl.com/stats/transactions...&f_team_id=370

Assumption: Niittymaki activated off IR.

Stalock to Worcester

Sexsmith to Stockton

DelMonte released from PTO (guessing that means one of the forwards won't be returning to SJ after break)

Not sure if anyone has ever seen this before, but Sexsmith's mask says "sexy" on the side. http://www.stocktonthunder.com/wp-co...ith-stock1.jpg

Should see his Giants' mask.
The other side of his Worcester mask has like some Shaun White-esque mermaid..

Could just be for Stalock to get playing time?

don't actually qoute me as 100% on this, but i believe the sharks need 2 active goalies on the roster (and since nitty is hurt he doesn't count). so sending stalock down without another goalie being on the roster would put the sharks under the number of players neeeded on the active roster.

As it says in the first post, Niitty was probably activated off IR. Had there been a trade or something, we would know about it by now, so that's the only really likely scenario.

I seem to recall his Giants' mask having quite the comely image on it. He should get to play in the NHL a bit for that reason alone (although the Woostah one is way less attractive)

Thought they sent them back down for cap reasons.

yes sending players down (who are needed on the roster for actual playing time) during off times are usually for cap reasons. but the sharks can't send a goalie down with nitty on the IR. or they would be in roster violations.

if a team could send down all of there waiver exempt players during off times, while only having say 10 players on the roster, no nhl team would have a full roster during the season just to save money.
