The car will likely be donated along with the money, to charity. Most celebrities and pro athletes don't actually "take" those types of things.

I agree. People were crying about it in the main board thread, but eventually came around. I thought it was fun. I wouldn't be surprised if other leagues do something similar, imagine that, the nhl being a trailblazer...

Team Lidstrom looks better on paper, but I think team Staal is better built position wise. A lot of players are going to have to play out of their natural positions on team Lidstrom.

Since we should all be rooting for team Staal, here's my lineup:

Sedin - Staal - Ovechkin
Sharp - Statsny - Nash
Elias - Kesler - Perry
Skinner - Giroux - Backes

Chara - Green
Staal - Boyle
Letang - Karlsson

Ward - 1st period
Price - 2nd
Hank - 3rd

Like I said. Biznasty and Avery as the captains and it would be amazing.

I agree. I loved the content w/ the players joking around and what not. The pretend analyst, like this means anything was annoying.

I hope they do this next year, but with an open bar. That would be HILARIOUS!!

I posted this in another thread - if only we could get two captains half as amusing as Brian Wilson. Most entertaining pro athlete? I think so.

Thought this was funny, but next time they should be standing on the ice all geared up just without the shirts and then give them 30mins in the locker room after picking the teams to start the game!

It got a lot of good press for the game. I just saw it recapped on my local morning news.

If that's a bone stock GS-R, please contact me FIRST should you ever decide to sell.

CR-Z rocks by the way. One almost won the 25 Hour at Thunderhill last month. I think it's going to be a groundbreaking car in terms of bringing performance hybrid technology to street cars.

Ummm, this is a joke right????

I drove my 1990 Acura Integra 243,000 miles before I retired it. The only reason I retired it was because at 200,000 miles everyone kept telling me dont put a dime into that thing, it cant possibly last much longer. So I stopped putting a dime into it.
At 243,000 it was still running, albiet now it had been abused for 40,000 miles. The only thing I ever did to that car was change the oil and air filter.

I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee...well after two years of spending 120 bucks a month on gas, I went back to a Honda

You want to make the allstar game and tiny bit more intersting, get corporate donations to total a few hundred thousand or more have each team pick a charity, and winning team gets the entire amount to that charity, that might spice it up 2%.

I have a feeling Melrose knows a thing or two about cars, secondly you high? Honda's are fantastic cars and will literally last a lifetime if taken care of perhaps you had a lemon...

I thought it was funny - Where Henrik was seated pretty much every guy picked for team staal after him had to pass him and he shook their hands. When Skinner walked by I noticed Henrik didn't move haha. Thank god he's on our team for a change!

Interesting lines. I agree with the goalie periods, but line wise I'd think of something more along the lines of:

Alexander Ovechkin-Eric Staal(C)-Rick Nash
Daniel Sedin-Ryan Kesler(A)-Claude Giroux
Patrick Sharp-Paul Stastny-Corey Perry
Patrik Elias-Jeff Skinner-David Backes

Zdeno Chara-Mike Green(A)
Marc Staal-Dan Boyle
Erik Karlsson-Kris Letang

Cam Ward(First Period)
Carey Price(Second Period)
Henrik Lundqvist(Third Period)

Well not injuries, but physical play, like a regular hockey game. Otherwise it's a 15-14 borefest.

The skills competition is pretty cool though.

I think TSN produced this show as Duthie was the one hosting. It's nothing new for a TSN production to be a little rough around the edges and kind of awkward. It certainly was entertaining to watch, though.

its at 156k and runs perfectly. i wouldnt be surprised if it hit 300k lol

ill probably buy a Toyota Avalon or an Inifiniti M45 next, depending on how much i want to spend. im a little too old for these sports kind of cars.
