Make an offer for Schneider. Who off Detroits roster would you trade for and what would you offer in return?

Probably not much considering they had Schneider and let him walk after his contract expired. Schneider wanted to resign with the Rangers, but Sather and company wanted nothing to do with him. Now that he is older, I bet there is even less interest.

No, since you will graciously put up the fee yourself

i would do malakhov/mironov or one of our lower tier prospects for schnieder. definetly a 6th rounder. hes a great defenseman and will be for a couple years. with leetch gone, that shot on point for our second pp would be very nice.

Leetch is gone? He will be back. And shot from the point, what do you call Alex Kovalev?

Schneider is just not what this team needs.

No, but then neither are Malacough or Bobo. Give me Schneider instead of those two any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

And a lower tier prospect! Why not throw in Lundmark?

what the h are you talking about? i was talking a stals/nycholat/lampman type prospect. schnieder would be the number one d-man without leetch here. i'm all about keeping the youth but lets be reasonable here.

Stals was the surprise of camp. And Lampman, though injured, is the second best defensive prospect this team has. Why are you looking to get rid of these guys. Especially for a player who is not needed. With Poti, de Vries, Malakhov, Mironov, Bouchard, Kasparaitis, and Purinton on the roster, it only makes sense if you can deal one of those defensesmen and really only Malakhov, Mironov, Purinton and Bouchard are the ones the Rangers would move and the Wings would not want them. And before we put Leetch on the shelf, lets remember how he played when he came back last season. His injury (as it is now) does not neccesitate a big move in fact, getting Bouchard, addresses that need. Why would you possibly give something of value for a player this team does not need?
