Powerskating Coaches

Hi guys,
can you advice me some top powerskating coach in North America?
I know Laura Stamm is the big name in the business. What about the others? Are they good? Is it worth that money to attend the camp?
Tx

I know there are some good power skating schools in montreal. and probably every other city in Canada.

a lot of the time they are figure skating coaches who do it on the side, (the ones who would be giving you private lessons)

personally I think your better to find something in Russia instead of North America, considering it is a lot closer to you. Russian hockey players are the best skaters in the NHL.

I know some in Manitoba and Sask... but i bet there are tons more camps in eastern Canada (i'll leave that to the guys East of manitoba)

+ im guessing english instruction would be a lot better than russian lol.

In Saskatchewan, Shelley Glazer Clements has a camp in Yorkton which is very good.

I think Dave Cruikshank and Curtis Brackenbury do that sort of thing with DC Hybrid Skating. I know both guys teamed up within the last several years to develop the skate company MLX, but they have been skating coaches for a while now too.

Ok, I see that you are in Slovakia. I have a friend that trains NHL players here in the USA. However, it is going to be in your neck of the woods this Summer. Send me a PM and I will give you his email address, dates and times.

Just a cool fact. My dad was Laura Stamms first student, and my grandpa was the one who convinced her to get into powerskating.

What an incredible skater Besa is!

Another popular one is Boris Dorozhenko.

+1 for robbie glantz. his camp does help alot if you make the best of it. i was a little to young to understand and fully take in him ideas and technical form advice during camp. but it did help me alot as a hockey player and how hard you have to work on skating. dont get me wrong im still moderatly slow compared to the rest of my abilities but his camp did improve it alot. I think some people just have the speed and some dont

Yeah, if you do this camp, you better be serious about your skating, this camp will kill you if you are not ready, No whimps at this camp. He will work you until every muscle hurts.

Again, if you are really serious about your hockey future...I recommend that you go to where ever he is at.

During the Summer, he's in Victoria, BC. Great investment...ever!

Power Skating Schools? Boris is currently in the Ukraine, so it probably would be good to check him out there.

If you are asking for playing opportunities...no, just in Turkey. If you are interested, send me a PM and I will send you contact Info. However, players must be AAA quality at the Midget level and Junior A's.
