Of course, 31-8-1 in 1.1 is damn impressive. Especially for a ginger with no soul.
I'll need to win out to match my win totals from the past two seasons. Given how much the talent level in 3.1 jumped this season, I suppose I'd be happy with 75 points... but I really want 80 again.

Hey CGB, just put up 4 goals up Wakeman, that *****.

(also note Sarmes's ability to play 30 min with 99 stamina). That top end stamina in this game is near gamebreaking for the top players. The next guy I can think of is Goalie Kyle's(argudez's) Commie center....

General question:

Wages don't change until the off season, correct?

I earned some TP again from the "Earn for Free" deals and used a level up, did one on the one that reduces wages. If I get another level up from RP and a run to the conference/league finals (if I make it) I may get another level up. I'm thinking I may put a bunch into the one skill that reduces wages to keep them low.

Yeah, wages are calculated during the season update... I maxed both of mine (Player Relations and Negotiations) right before the update.

If I get a level up too in RP I may get the upgrade for Negotiations as well to help reduce that. I remember talking last off-season about that strategy. Put in your Negotiations item during the off season, then once the season starts, put your others back in.

Items are mad expensive, though... much more cost efficient to use your 5 level ups and dump points into 'em, even at 2 or 3 SP to bump it up 1.

If you have additional TP to blow after buying your 5 level ups, burn it on items.

Lost in a shootout today, still haven't lost in regulation though.

Won 5-0 with the backup in. Tied for the most points in the league with 67 right now. I have 4 below average games and 1 tough one to finish the season which I'll be playing my backup for. I'm hoping I win the Pressley but I'd rather rest my goalie for the playoffs as long as I win the conference.

Yeah, Sosi is pretty broken. The best part is that he can play 1st line C and both PP C's and take over half of my team's draws with his near 70% faceoff percentage.

Btw, I don't know if you found another NHL '11 team (or want to) but I reconnected with a couple friends of mine from '09 who have a top 50 team and started playing goal for them (1 GAA and .91 SVPCT in 18 games so far - got my touch back). They only have 6 guys on the roster and prefer to play with at least 5 so if you want I can put a good word in for you.

In TH news I am 1 point away from clinching the best record in 3.2. Thinking about playing my prospect goalie in 3/5 games to get him some extra routine since the ME tweaks/stalls robbed me of my pseudo-perfect season (keep leaving the dream for me Origin!).

Noted. Thanks.

I love the Earn for Free. I do it once every two weeks, only the ones I do are generally email ones or quick signup/games that don't involve download or personal info. I use a different email than my normal one, and usually get a good 800 TP each time. One time I got 1300. Nik and company get paid, I get TP. Can't complain.

After Nik's "apology" TP and a few more, I've gotten 3 level ups from TP this season. Definitely a big help.

I wasn't even aware they have different shades. I just look at the total TI from each session.

I'll give you $1 if you play your backup tomorrow.

Just to throw it out there (though I expect most everyone knows it already), the exception to this is if you acquire a player midseason.

I do that with the negotiations and media relations items. I feel like I might as well get that extra little boost and the fact that you're stuck with the item for four days is meaningless since it's just the preseason anyway.

I need 7pts to secure the 1st seed in the National Conference of US 1.1. Irish is probably going to take me down the wire with this.

So if you re-sign your ufas, can they be traded next season, or are they just continuously not available for trades?

edit- It makes sense if you can never trade them, because it keeps people from hording good ufas (I was kind of hoping to do that) for sign and trades, but I'm hoping it's not the case.

The first season they're on your team they cannot be traded and stay at the salary you signed them at...

The second season they're on your team, they turn basically into a regular player that can be traded, cut, etc. and their wage is calculated based on the regular variables.

Loan me Garabedian for tomorrow's match and I'll see if I can help you out with that

Well, my other goalie has a 17.38 Routine at 79 EPA. This guy has to be better than that.

8-2 win thanks to the PP going 5 for 8 and my 1st liners scoring 7 goals. My PP is now 39.7% on the season. Hopefully a big last week can push it over the 40% mark which would be unreal.

6-0 VICTOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRY! FTW. My goalie leads 2.1 in all Goalie stats except in GAA, which he is just in second place for. Lowest goals against in the game. Boo ya!

6-1 win against #3 in my conference. Two goals by each of my top three lines... I'm liking the way my team is playing right now.

New thread, by the way, since we're almost at 1k here.
