Deadline Predictions/Survey

Just want to get some opinions and predictions regarding the deadline. We can go back to see who did the best afterwards.

1. Who will be the biggest seller at the deadline?

2. Who will be the biggest buyer at the deadline?

3. Which GM will make the smartest/best moves?

4. Predict a trade by the GM you named in question 3.

5. Which GM will make the dumbest/worst moves?

6. Predict a trade by the GM you named in question 5.

7. Who will be the biggest named player moved at the deadline?

8. Predict one move that will instantly make a team a contender for the cup.

9. Predict one trade you think will happen with your favorite team.

10. Couldn't think of another question, but wanted 10. What's your favorite sandwich?

2. Who will be the biggest buyer at the deadline?
Los Angeles - they need a top 3 scoring center and they have the assets and cap space to work with.

Kaberle or if the Calgary / Tampa deal goes, Regehr.

1. Who will be the biggest seller at the deadline? Florida

2. Who will be the biggest buyer at the deadline? LA (they're going to amp up for a big push)

3. Which GM will make the smartest/best moves? Tambellini (I think they have good players to trade and will easily acquire decent returns; it would be hard to make bad moves IMO) -- Or, Sather.

5. Which GM will make the dumbest/worst moves? don't know but it will be one of the Western teams between 6th and 12th that makes a push for the playoffs and then misses them

7. Who will be the biggest named player moved at the deadline? Vokoun

8. Predict one move that will instantly make a team a contender for the cup. Vokoun to Philadelphia or Washington drastically improves those two contenders but Boston landing a defenceman that can log big minutes on a top pairing would be monumental for that team. Ducks acquiring a guy like Phillips would shore up their blue line as well.

9. Predict one trade you think will happen with your favorite team. Phillips for 2nd + mid-level prospect

10. Couldn't think of another question, but wanted 10. What's your favorite sandwich? I'm having a chicken shawarma at the moment...

Good questions

1. Ottawa
2. Preds
3. Doug Wilson if he doesn't panic
4. Sheldon Souray for a bag of peanuts + salary dump (Wallin?)
5. I worry about my Hawks moving assets for short-term help. I'd like to see someone with a bit of meanness come in, possibly for Stalberg, Skille or other marginal asset
6. Skille for Zenon
7. Penner ... maybe Iggy (not in the same trade of course)
8. Flyers getting a goalie (Vokoun), Nashville getting a 40 goal guy (Iggy?), Vancouver not doing anything dumb, Chicago getting a legitimate PK and a #5 Dman (I can dream can't I)
9. Sadly, I don't see much happening unless with Tallon and we'll get hosed
10. Turkey Saltimbocca

1. Florida, Tallon has a reputation to be bold and his team, although not in last, is unstable and peeps prolly wanna leave.
2. NY Rangers, have a very good team this yr, but they are a couple of pieces away, maybe souray and a top 6 center.

3. Lou Lamoriello, while our team is in the sh*tter, we have som evets to trade for the benefit of next year. Those trades will have an affect on the Parise situation.
4. Arnott, for a prospect and or roster player
5. Burke
6. Giguere or Kaberle, he won't go silent two years in a row.
7. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Parise otherwise Semin
8. Arnott to Washington
9. Arnott or Clarkson out of NJ

1. Ottawa

2. Tampa Bay

3. They get Steve Montador and/or Jan Hejda at a very low cost, thus patching some big holes in their lineup.

4. Steve Montador for a spare part that could be a part of the Sabres in the near future. Think Cedrick Desjardins.

5. Brian Burke

6. Not off-loading Kaberle because he wants too much. Then proceed to lose him in the offseason.

7. I don't expect big moves... But... Jason Arnott? Chris Phillipps? Mike Fisher? What's the biggest name?

8. See #3

9. I think Montreal is done moving. They'll pitch for Penner, but Edmonton will ask for too much.

10. Chicken Caesar.
