It just sets up even more disappointment. We can't beat a team with Chris Conner AND Mike Rupp getting top-6 icetime.

Dustin Jeffery recalled by Pens.

And it gets deeper.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Rupp does exactly that against us, it seems he always plays well against the Rangers.

I'm never going with an "easy-win" approach, Pittsburgh with or without Crosby/Malkin is still just as dangerous because the Rangers have notoriously failed in situations where they could have acquired points easier than regularly.

I'm more afraid of Conner than Rupp.

3 goals in his last two games in MSG.

Very excited that this team is getting healthy again, and the fact that Pittsburgh is at its most injury riddled means it is even more crucial to get the W.

When our team is fully healthy again, and we are back to having a logjam at forward, does Drury get press box action? Horrible contract aside, he doesn't bring anything to the table that you don't already get from other players, plus those players contribute offensively as well. No doubt from a playing standpoint, he deserves to be the odd man out when we are healthy down the stretch, but from a PR standpoint, how bad does it look when your captain is a healthy scratch for a prolonged period? Do you think the coaching staff/upper management has the guts to embarrass our captain (even though it is completely justified)?

Just want to hear your thoughts guys, because even though icing the best possible roster has him being a scratch, I don't think the team does it...

Fortunately for us, this isn't a "trap" game where we are lulled into playing down to the Crosby/Malkin-less Pens. We're fired up after a very productive All-Star break.

Dubinsky says he has no pain and his x rays are fine via Zip.

I'd have to think he can play.

Bylsma said Letestu "hit a rut," has lower body injury and will head back to Pittsbugh

Letestu confirmed out. Pens will dress 7 D.

Penguins will dress seven defensemen tonight against #NYR. Bylsma focusing more on getting on track after break than evening season series.

It's rare that I'd expect two points against the Pens, but anything less than a win tonight would be a big disappointment given their absentees.

Ok, I am watching the NHL Network right now and they keep putting up "Penguins looking for third straight win vs Rangers" Did I miss something?

Yes.

The Pens have won 2 in a row. With a win tonight, they would have won 3 in a row.

I guess the wording is a little misleading. I read it as the pens are looking for there 3rd win vs the Rangers in a row.
