This game seems like it is going in slow motion...both teams look like they are skating in mud

Stoll just got mugged, you could even hear some yelling from the Kings bench on the Wild feed, brutal non call.

And yeah as others have said, this is not going to be a very exciting game. Two defensive first teams with not much skill in the lineup.

Prob be 2-1 one way or the other

Probably exactly the kind of road game the Kings need to play tonight since they will be facing the Oilers in Edmonton tomorrow night. There will be plenty of pace to that game.

The Kings take more dumb penalties (no scoring chance prevented) than just about any team in the NHL.

Doughty being the leader in that category. I wasn't even paying attention to the television when I heard Bob say "crosschecking" I immediately guessed it was Doughty heading to the box.

And Dustin Brown has hands of stone.

That wasn't too bad of a shot. He actualy got some bend on it. Backstrom just played it perfectly as always.

It's always Doughty with the penalties along the boards and it's always Williams, Stoll and Smyth with the offensive zone penalties.

Atleast we don't have Ivanans and his 2 minute hooking penalties in the offensive zone this season.

While we'd all like them to stay out of the box, you can do worse than toughness penalties.

Pretty easy-to-follow game plan so far...kick it back to the point, get a shot on goal. Unfortunately, that's very, VERY simple for the Wild to read, and they're just getting in the shooting lanes.

I forgot who mentioned it, but I lol'ed at "Wild hockey at its finest"...it was comical to see Jim Fox show, on the first possession of the game, all 5 Wild back behind their own blueline before the Kings had gained the redline :

I don't know if it's fair to criticize the Wild's style of play. The Kings aren't exactly the 93 Penguins out there.

Not really a fan of the way either team plays, but you gotta work with what you have. Neither team is going to win 5-4

One mistake or bad penalty will probably be the difference here.

GO KINGS

Okay, I'll remember that next time you criticize the Kings

It was more of a commentary on the way they were opening the game...no forecheck, everyone back. It's like they forgot they were at home!

Is it just me, or does Brown never pass to a rookie left winger on that line?

There isn't exactly anyone on the Wild that's setting the world on fire tonight either.

Two teams with lead feet trying to slog their way through a game.
