Good for you...its refreshing to see that you responded to something I posted and not simply responding to your self created nonsense.

Having said that you seem to be obsessed with the fact the Gerber is currently playing as a #1 goalie in the AHL and trying to use that as the foundation for your argument that he isn't capable of being an average NHL backup.
So lets go over this again....when the contracts are taken into consideration, along with Khabbys less than average play this season, IMO there is no reason to think that Gerber can't at least duplicate what Khabby is doing for a lot less money. Especially (as Replacement pointed out already) when controversy has been an issue for Khabby off the ice as well.

You are entitled to think otherwise and we can agree to disagree...I don't care one way or the other.

The reality is however that the team is stuck with Khabby for at least another season unless the goalie landscape changes by way of injury and a team becomes desperate enough to roll the dice on a high mileage, injury prone, over priced, below average NHL goaltender.

Roli's a good goalie, he's always been one so him playing well on a good team shouldn't be a shock to anyone who knows his game. I like Roli but I'm not sad at all that he's not here anymore. Khabby being 3 or 4 years younger may actually pay off for us in a year or two when we're actually playing games that mean something.

Whereas with Roli at age 41 ... what would we be doing with him here other than wasting his time? Good for him in getting a shot at Tampa, but he'd be 42/43 realistically before we'd be ready to go anywhere.

I think that age is the exception here. Despite the fact that he is younger Khabby has far more mileage on him than Roli does. Because of this Roli has shown to have more durability than Khabby and (at this point) also seems to be able to play at a higher level on a more consistent basis.
Normally age does matter but I think this situation is an exception.

I fail to see any reason why bulin is a problem. We are not having cap problems, he bridges the gap until we get/develop a younger guy. He does provide stability because he's been everywhere from the Olympics to All-star games to Stanley Cups. If you don't think DD is benefiting, your crazy. Bulin is a very good goalie that has not earned his pay cheque but who really cares.
