Save Trotz the trouble and beat yourself in the head with that stick, Wilson.

How in the Blue Ridge Mountains do you let a tortoise like Sarich blow right by you?

Sarich is brutally slow. The irony is that Wilson blew by Sarich at the end of the second for a great opportunity.
I trust Calgary's ability to throw this guy away, regardless of that goal

Our passes to Flames players have been excellent all night...

Let's see if Rinne can win another shoot out for us

Penalty kill tonight was fantastic. Even the PP looked halfway decent.

Pekka made some big saves.

Same old story, just couldn't get that one last goal.

I didn't like the new beginning video they made. It started out OK and I thought the music was going to be building up to something, but then, it just sort of ended. Bring back the one they started the year with!

We really need to start getting healthy. Down the stretch we can't have the Euro line doing all the work. The other lines were garbage tonight from an offensive perspective. The Smithson's line was worthless as usual, and I think Dumont's "resurgence" has now run its course. I wish we could package some prospects for Mike Fisher and throw in Dumont to balance out the salary. The guy's worthless.

Rinne was just fantastic. I probably sound like a broken record stating so at this point but .. wow.

Maybe a little rusty after the break, but it's a point! And some positives to take out of it: goaltending and special teams. Overall though, neither team showed up 100%, and neither team played significantly better than the other. A shoot out between Kiprusoff and Rinne might as well be a coin toss. Obviously Rinne has been better as of late and has a great shoot out record, but they're both really excellent goaltenders.

Two comments about Bridgestone Arena:
1. Calgary play by play crew mentioned numerous times what a good, loud crowd there was, especially for a Tuesday night. Good job guys.
2. I can't remember the last time I saw such terrible ice. It looked like the game was being played on a racquetball court (with a racquetball) ... I heard something about humidity, was there a big change in weather this past weekend or something?? Hope it improves, with so many home games coming up

The ice was redone last week because the circus had been in town. The Preds had a couple of high school teams practice at the Arena Sunday, my son said the ice was terrible.

Rinne was fantastic.... except for the one time he wasnt, which was, unfortunately the difference in the game... its not fair to blame Rinne for the loss, but nonetheless, if he makes that save, we probably win the game, and thats a save he makes 99 out of 100 times.

we just need to score more than one or two goals a freaking game. We have Philly and detroit coming up.... this was the game we were supposed to get two points from...

I hope we start getting healthy soon. It takes a lot for a hockey game to bore me, but we're rattling off a string of boring games the likes of which I can't remember seeing.

JPs individual scoring resurgence might be past, however, that line as a whole played pretty decent hockey. Smitty line - meh. No, make that - MEHEHEH!! Spaling with 3 penalties and Smitty with 1 - these are supposed to be our PKers and the guys drawing penalties, not giving them away! More ice time for Mueller line, less for the Smithson line.

OK - granted, that's not gonna' solve our scoring problem, but the frequency of PK seemed to throw us off quite a bit. Leggy line wasn't on the ice as a line nearly like they should have since Leggy ended up being the primary PK guy last night.

Mr. Poile, we still need a 3rd center. Doesn't have to be a superstar, just a solid 2way guy that can hold his own on the dot and make the pass he should, put pucks on goal when he should - that'll be sufficient.

When our offense is struggling we can't afford mental errors or easy goals. Between Pekka letting in the terrible first goal and Willy blowing coverage big time on their 2nd goal that's all it took for Calgary to pot 2 goals. I love Wilson's confidence with the puck right now but he had two terrible plays last night. He made up for that terrible giveaway to Tanguay with good hustle but couldn't make up for losing Sarich. That's not the way to endear yourself to Trotz.

So when we are fully healthy, does Wilson get a seat in the pressbox, with one of his 3 girls he falls in love with daily ?

not a chance.

for all his faults he is still producing, and you have to let a promising youngster play hos way through his mistakes.

I think we try a Sully/Mueller/Dumont line and see how that pans out when Sully returns.

Finding a spot for Tootoo and/or Svatos is going to be harder, unless Spaling keeps taking 3 minors per game...
