Oh and not thread worthy on the main board I bet.
That's why I asked.

I just noticed we are 2nd in the NW division!

As for the shootout save, I will try to get the video tomorrow in the afternoon. The NHL is so slow to put a no goal game highlights.

And lets see if there will have at least 2 pages tomorrow afternoon. Anyways, I'm gonna bump that thread with the YT conversion.

Heh, fell asleep. Guess I'll have to catch the rest of the game from the 3rd on, during FSN's replay this afternoon...

Hell of a save there for Backstrom, though. He's done that a few times now.

On one hand, you could say last night's game was frustrating because the Wild could generate no offense (either could LA).

On the other hand, watching the Wild's and LA's defensive coverage was very, very impressive last night. Both teams were close to perfect, and when the D would break-down, both teams almost instantly re-grouped.

LA was definitely better than us through most of the game. Rusty, but noticeably better than us. The zone time seemed very lopsided in their favor.

Kind of half watched the first 10 minutes, then left it in the background and came back with 10 minutes left in the third.

But those 10 minutes in the third, overtime, and the shootout were THE MOST EXCITING hockey I've seen the Wild play all year. Usually a 0-0 game is indicative of a lot of sloppiness and turnovers, which there was early, but there were a TON of chances late in the game for both teams, and you could see the momentum swinging one way, then the other, then back, etc.

I literally jumped up and screamed when Bouchard scored and Backs saved, and I can count on one hand the number of times I've done that this year...well not counting Havlat's one amazing play per game

It doesn't really matter how you get it done, as long as you get it done. The Wild blocked close to 30 shots, and this team is showing that you can win even without a huge superstar. This team is playing for each other, and the stellar goaltending could bring playoffs back here. I think that we're going to make it, I hate to jinx it, but I just feel like we can make it.

The guys are playing for each other, and have been on fire lately. I said they probably needed 40 points to make a total of 95 to get into the playoffs, we only need 19 more wins and we will make it. I think that we can do it, and I feel much better about this team's chances compared to last year. We also have Zidlicky and Latendresse waiting to come back, so that will be two huge additions. This is a huge month, we have 12 games left all against western conference teams this month. We will know where we stand soon.

I was listening to Russo on 1500 last night, and he basically said that Fletch is looking to upgrade Koivu's right wing. This is nothing new, but I just don't see anything happening at the deadline. There probably isn't anyone available who is a upgrade over Mittens/Kobasew?

Apparently that save warrants no attention from anybody else but Wild fans.

I was expecting to see it on the Sportscenter top 10 last night, but nope.
