Yeah, Roloson wouldn't have been a terrible idea. BTW, I missed the game tonight, but it looks like we got smoked by the Former Flyer Curse again. Downie, Gagne, and Jones(?!?) on the scoresheet.

Unless Giguere would have scored 5 goals last night, I don't see how he can even be used as an argument here.

Unless Philly plans on scoring 4+ goals every night for the win, giggy is not the answer.

Maybe Giguere + Versteeg?
as a leafs fan i would never take that deal. hartnell is an aging forward who we dont need right now. i know the flyers wont give up claude giroux but maybe ville leino is a possibility.

Come on, dude...just stop it.

Incidentally, Leino is all of 6 months younger than Hartnell. Edit: A year and 6 months. Hartnell: April 82 Leino: October 83. My point remains the same.

That's why the Flyers need to be in WIN NOW mode! They have 8 of their top 9 forwards approaching 28 y/o in the next 3-5 yrs.

Richards, Carcillo + Carter @ 25 y/o.
Giroux + Nodl all of 22 y/o.
JVR almost of legal drinking age 21.
Their leading goal scorer (Briere) is in danger of dementia at 33 y/o.

So you need a core that is 22 years of age and younger? I believe that is called the AHL

I agree though, this is getting ridiculous.

Only on HF is 28 "aging." If I were a meaner person, I'd suggest that that guy is just so used to rebuilding now that it has warped his view on the reality of prime age of an athlete.
